* I would like to note that there are other horses at Century Farms that have not been mentioned just because Mel doesn't work with them. There will be some of them in this chapter. But there are some other horses than just the ones that were mentioned in this book.

Mel's POV

This is it. Today is the day of the adoption fair/show, and it's barely one, and about 10 cars have driven in! More cars kept pulling in, and my stomach turned in excitement. This was going to be great for the farm, and the horses!

I was also super excited because there were lot's of horse trailers pulling through the iron gates. I grinned and couldn't stop.

"Mel!" Mom called for me, and I rushed off to see what task she had for me.

Liv's POV

I mounted Tye, and we headed into the arena. I was in my best show clothes, and Tye was looking his best. We were doing our class for the show, and we were the only ones in it since nobody else rides saddle seat. Before my class, Mrs. Jones had said a little bit of history about saddle seat, then a bit about me and Tye. The crowd was impressed, and I had noticed there was one crowd member that had been eyeing me.

I took a deep breath, then started Tye at a walk. I tried as hard as I could to make Tye and me look good, and by the look on the crowd's face, I was doing a pretty good job of it. The woman who was eyeing me had a smile on her face, and she was whispering to her friend and nodding. Then she pointed at Tye and me, and my heart skipped a beat.

Tye and I finished our class perfectly, and Tye was a star! There was an applause, and I couldn't stop grinning. Tye was prancing around as we did our victory lap. I saw my family in the crowd, and my parents were extremely proud. It was wonderful!

As we exited the arena, Mrs. Jones pinned a long, blue ribbon onto his bridle, and Mom snapped a picture on our good camera. "Oh Liv, you were outstanding!" Dad said, and once I dismounted, gave me a one armed hug.

"Thanks Dad," I said, and hugged him back. Just as I said that, the woman who had been eyeing me, and her friend walked up to us.

"Excuse me, but are you Liv Miller?" the woman asked.

"Yes I am," I said cautiously. "May I help you?" I asked sweetly.

"Hi, I'm Sasha Gulfhard, and I am the owner and manager of a very new saddlebred breeding and training barn. It's called Southern Saddlebreds Breeding and Training. I saw how well you did with your horse, Tye, and I was hoping you would be interested in training some of our horses. You could come once or twice a week and maybe train some of our saddlebreds, and if they come along well, show them in shows that we take them to,"Sasha offered.

"I would love to, but I need to discuss it with my parents," I said excitedly.

"Honey, she already talked to us about it, and we think it's a great idea, and if you would like to do it, you can," Mom said.

"Really?!" I said. This can't be real.

"Yes, would you like to?" my parents asked.

I was too excited to talk, so I just smiled and nodded my head vigorously. Sasha laughed.

"Well great! I'm looking forward to you coming and riding for me," she said, then she and her friend walked away.

I squeezed Tye's silky, black neck, and squealed. "Now everything would be perfect if I could keep you," I whispered so only he could hear. He looked at me and blinked, which I took as an agreement from him.
