Chapter 2: Crash and Burn

        When I get on the bus I'm one of the first people to get on. I have no friends on the bus and so I usually just tune everyone out and look out the window. Most of the time the bus driver plays pop music but I listen to rock and so I have to just deal with it.

        It takes about 30 minutes to get to school with all the stops so I sometimes take a nap because I personally think that we get up way too early for school.

        On the way to school we have to go on this long highway called Generals highway. The thing that's special about that highway is that President/General Washington marched all of his troops down that highway. Since he did that there are historical signs and markings in my neighborhood that tell you exactly what happened there and why it's so special.

        One other sign says that this church by my house was made in the 1800's and there's a graveyard next to it and when we drive past it I can see that some of the earliest dates on it are from around 1832.

        Suddenly this really fast car ran the stop light that we were on the opposite side of. There was only a second before it crashed into us. Since I was in the front of the bus I got most of the damage. Both of my arms and both of my legs were numb. I couldn't feel anything. I couldn't see or hear anything, as well. In fact, I couldn't move, at all. I was slowly falling deeper and deeper into a coma. Slowly...slowly....
