He held the kiss for a few seconds before pulling away, staring into strikers eyes. "I do love you, I love you a lot strikes. Will you...be with me..?" Chaz muttered, holding Striker close, more nervous than ever for strikers reaction.
"W-Well..! I-I..!" Striker gibbered, trying to think of what to say in reply to Chaz's request.
Chazs nerves grew even more at strikers hesitance to answer, now wondering if this was the right choice after all.
"Look..Chaz..you're a great guy but, no" Striker said, giving Chaz a very awkward half smile, not knowing what to do or say to try and ease the awkward tension between them.
Chaz felt his heart shatter hearing the rejection, not knowing what to say but, his lip started to tremble as his eyes flooded with tears.
"Chaz...I'm sorry.." Striker muttered, frowning at the upset he caused. He put a hand on chazs shoulder to try and comfort him but, that was quickly pushed off.
"I...need to go.." He sighed, turning around so his back was facing striker as he walked off to leave the lair, soon finding a tree to hide behind and just sit there for a while.
Striker couldn't help but feel awful, he folded his arms over his chest as he sighed and walked away, unsure of how their future will look now. Will they still be good friends? Or will they start to drift apart and become strangers to one another again? He didn't know. He hoped for the first option though.
Chaz pressed his back up against the tree, breaking down into a series of sobs as he slid down the tree, bringing his knees to his chest and wrapping his arms around them, quickly burying his face into his forearms as he sobbed, trying not to bring too much attention to himself by imps passing by.
It was very faint but, striker could hear chazs soft sobs from afar which made his heart sink as he now felt even worse than he did before but, he just didn't like Chaz in that way, he couldn't help it.
