Chapter Six

"Welcome back Amelia" the team shouts as I walk in with Nate.

"Alright, settle down. We are here on an urgent case plus we have to close Ramiez's accident case," Gary states after we settle on our seats.

"First, let's catch Ramiez's assailant, then we can move on to the serial killer case," Gary claps as Edmund takes over.

"This is the CCTV videos we collected from the accident scene, and you can see that the truck has been waiting for Ramiez to pass for at least three hours. I have been looking back to the days before the accident, he has been watching Ramiez for at least three days. He never exits the truck. Until on the day of the accident. He left the truck for an hour," Ed explains. He also tells us that he currently running facial recognition on the guy now. The result will be out in an hour time.

"Good Job Edmund," Gary pats on his shoulders.

"Now onto our serial Killer case" Gary sighs.

"This is the file" he passes all of us a file.

We read true it.

He likes to murder girls and boys at night. They are kids at like to play alone at night. I guess he has been watching them for a long time before making a move.

Three murders in a night. Different timing and different locations.

"That is right, Lia," Gary speaks jolting me out of my thoughts to see everyone staring at me.

"I did not mean to speak out aloud" I apologies.

"No, it is totally fine, what you stated is right" Gary smiles.

"You remind me of my friend" Edmund smiles.

"The detectives are asking around to see If anyone saw the murder. Apparently, he is like a ghost. No one managed to catch a glimpse of him," Gary continues the briefing.

"The kids are from the rich family. And they have siblings, they are the youngest as well," I pointed out.

"Wait the latest victim is not the same age as the rest. She is 16 years old," I inform them making them all to flip to the last page.

"All of them have the similar looks, they all have brownish hair. Other similarities are, Rich, youngest sibling, like to hang out at night alone, all of them are murdered at the park near their house" I pour out my points.

"You have a plan," Nate looks at me, worried as I smile at him.

"The victims age is in an increasing order. The next victim age is going to be 17 years old. His next location is going to be Blooming Park. I have been going there the past few nights to get a breather alone. I am the only 17 years old there. If my guess is right. His next target can be me as well," I concluded.

"I am calling in the detective in charge of the case to come up to join us," Gary looks panicked.

"It is really scary how you can figure out these things at such a quick speed" Sean looks scared of me.

"I guess my brain works faster than most," I shrug.

"Okay, the detectives are coming up soon," Gary informs us after he hangs up on the call.

We all sat there silently staring at each other.

"Okay it is creepy to see you all stay so silent," I break the silence.

"Lia, you just predicted your death, and you expect us to be chill about it?" Gary sighs as he rubs his face.

"Gary, I just telling you what might happened. This is based on his pattern not something he might actually do. I am saying it because I match all his checklist.

"We are here," the detectives spoke as they enter.

Out of the two, I saw one of Ram's and Austin's brother standing there. Ah it seems like he is one of the detectives.

"It is regarding the serial killer case" Gary looks at me.

"What about it?" Austin's brother asks.

"Lia thinks that she might be his next target," Gary points at me making them all to stare at me.

"Hi" I wave at them. I hate attention, just because I attend meeting and conduct presentation does not mean I like attention. I like to hide from attention.

"What do you mean by that?" I saw Austin's brother getting agitated by the information.

"What Gary means is that, my assumption based on his past victims and direction of murder, I might be the next victim as I live in the next location, and I am in the right age group for his next target," I explained to him.

"Does Ram knows that you are here now?" he blurts out making everyone to look at both of us in confusion.

"He knows I am here, but he does not know about this, and it is going to stay that way as much as possible" I answer him.

"You want me to hide this from Ram," he looks at me with wide eyes.

"Ed, she wants me to lie to Ramiez" he looks at Edmund.

"Gavin calm down," Ed looks at the detective.

"Gav, she will be fine. She has gone undercover for cases many times, and she managed to close the case without getting hurt" Sean speaks for me.

"Hell no! My sister will not be doing this. She will be under full custody until we catch the guy" Gavin order.

"Sorry, but I am not your sister, and I am not going to hide from a bloody murderer. If it is not me, it is going to be another innocent child. If he targets me, we can catch him before more lives are sacrificed," I argued back.

"Ramiez is going to kill me," he mumbles,

"I do not think Ramiez is that bad. He did not treat Austin that bad when Austin tried to lie" I looked at him confused.

"You have spent time with Austin?" he looks at me worried.

I nod.

"I am dead. I agree to this plan unwillingly. When I die, I will blame my death on everyone here excluding Lia" Gavin sighs as he settles down to make a plan with us. I giggle at his actions.

"Oh, you still can giggle. Have you seen Ramiez and Austin angry?" Gavin looks at me as though he can see his own dead.

"Nope. They are always nice to me" I smiled at him.
