The meet

I grabbed Alejandro's arm as we carefully walked inside.
My head was spinning. Did Luka and Alejandro know each other?

Flashback

"I need to tell you something about me."
I looked at him confused.
"I run the Calazar Cartel in Mexico and Spain."
I smiled. I clearly had a type and thing for mafia bosses.
"Why are you smiling?"
"I'm just-There is something I haven't told you either."
"And what is that?" He asked.
"I used to be..involved...with a mafia boss before I met you."
"I know."
"What? But how?"
"As you said I'm a mafia boss, I know everything about everybody."
I smile as he squeezes my hand.

End of flashback

If they did know each other, it surely would be a problem? Right?
We walked in to the grand house together and I gasped at how crowded it was.
Thankfully I knew my family wasn't attending tonight or I myself would have never come.
A older man came up to us and started chatting with Alejandro as I made my way to the bar. I ordered two champagnes before heading back.
The atmosphere had changed awfully when I came back.
I walked up to Alejandro as I saw his jaw tighten and his eyes narrowed at someone.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
His eyes snapped to mine and immediately relaxed before his hand went around my waist to push me towards him.
I bumped in to his chest as I tried to find the source he was watching.
"Luka." I whispered.
They were staring at each other with pure hate in their eyes. Luka didn't even throw me a glance at how pissed he was.

"si este hijo de puta me sigue mirando asi lo mato." he murmured.
(if that son of a bitch keeps looking like that, I'll kill him)
I caressed his arm which made him look at me and give me a smile.
"I know. I'm sorry." he said.
"It's okay. I didn't know you two knew each other?" I asked throwing a quick glance at Luka whom eyes were already plastered at me with narrowed eyebrows. Clearly about to explode out of anger any second.
Alejandro stiffened and my eyes went directly for the source of his watching.
Luka was walking toward us.
Alejandro grabbed my arm and pulled me behind him.
Luka stopped just a few steps away from us. The crowd had caught the change in the atmosphere and were all now watching.
"Mr. Alessi. To what do I owe this- displeasure?" Alejandro asked.
"We need to talk." He said while gritting his teeth.
"So talk."
"Not in front of her." He empathized her in the worst kind of way as if he hated me. My heart ached but my mind was fuming.
They look at each other for a second before he nodded.
"I'll be back soon, mi amor." Alejandro said as he kissed my cheek.
He was crossing boundaries. I turn my check away in embarrassment.
I could see Luka raging because of this small action. It was unnecessary and a bad move of Alejandro. It wasn't exactly respectful. And after all they clearly knew each other. Fuck fuck fuck.

They were away for a while and I decided to take som air on the balcony.
I took a deep breath as I looked out over the big yard.
"Seriously Aleksandra? Of all people- you choose him." he said sighting while walking up bedsides her.
"Well in my defense in all that we were and had you still have decided to marry her, your ex of all people." I taunted.
We looked at each other for a quick second before he said.
"Have you slept with-"
"Yes." I interrupted.
He took a step back while giving me a look of surprise.
"Have you slept with her?"
He looked away.
I shook my head.
"That's just great actually. It actually means we're officially over." I said before turning away.
He grabbed my wrist which made me turn my head back.
"I-"
"Let my fiancé go." Alejandro said
Both of our head snapped towards the door.
Fiancé? What is he talking about?
Luka released me and took a step back while giving me a surprised but upset look.
He looked at Alejandro as he walked up beside me.
"What did you just say?" Luka asked with a look I couldn't read.

"We got just got engaged today." He said as he caught me off guard and pulled my hand up to show off my huge diamond ring.
My mouth went agape as I stood there in shock. But a part of me also wanted to stick it to his face.
Luka stumbled back and for once I could see hurt in his eyes before a poker face was masking it all.

"Wow." he answered.
"Alejandro tell him-" I started.
"That we are in love and don't want anyone to meddle." he answered his eyes on him.
He looked back at me as he said.
"Congratulations, at least she's a great fuck."

Seriously? Did he seriously say that about me?
I walked up to him and slapped him before I made my exit.
I walked right through the house and out the entrance. I didn't care that people were watching me. I pulled the knife up I had in a gartier under my dress and cut my dress to mid thigh and threw the fabric away before I grabbed my heels in my hands and started running. I had no idea were I was going but I was just needed to get out of here.

After I had run barefoot in a ripped dress for about 30 minutes I reached a beach were I sat down crying.
I watched the sunrise and at some point fell asleep on the beach with not an ounce of worry on my face.

I felt a burn as I stretched myself over she sand bed my body had made.
I fluttered my eyes open but quickly closed them as the sun was shining to strong.
I heard children playing and the ocean waves against the big stones on the side of the beach.
I looked up and saw a family with kids play hundred meters away. I stood up and brushed the sand of myself as I got up to the road.

I watched as a car slowly followed me, so I did what anyone wouldn't. Because I clearly at this point don't care.
I walked up to the car and threw the door open.
"Why are you following me?"

"Ms. Jovanovic. My boss had me follow you and wait all night for you." the guy said.

"And who is your boss?" I asked putting my hands on my waist.

"Mr. Alessi." He said looking down.

I laughed. What a fucking asshole
"Go back to him and tell him to fuck himself." I said as I started walking back in to the city.
