Karaoke datenight

"Hello?" I say, picking up my phone.
Hello my name is Phoenix Wright, I'm a defense attorney in Japan and I fight for the accused's innocence. My friend, Miles Edgeworth was the one to motivate me into becoming a lawyer along with my friend and mentor the late Mia fey. Along my journey of becoming a lawyer, I reunite with Edgeworth who just so happens to be a prosecutor. He's changed a lot since we last talked as children.

Actually he's the one who has called me.
"Wright.." Edgeworth's soft but emotionless voice speaks hesitantly, "I have- er- a request.." "What is it Edgeworth?" I reply cheerfully, Edgeworth doesn't call me that often so whenever he does I become quite cheerful. "W-well. I bought a karaoke booth for two.. But I didn't know who else to invite so.." Edgeworth trials off and I start to beam, "Edgeworth, are you asking me out on a karaoke date?" I cry joyfully and I can practically hear Edgeworth shifting around embarrassingly from his side of the call. "Well not exactly asking you on a date.. Just.. Hanging out?" Edgeworth replies slowly, I know he's carefully picking his words so he doesn't screw up. I smile as I ask "its alright Miles, I'll be ready soon! Where's the place?" "No no it's alright Wright, I'll pick you up." "Oh alright then Miles!!"

9:30pm, outside Wright & Co office.

Edgeworth pulls up in-front of the defence attorney's office building. He takes a deep breath and texts Phoenix Wright to let him know he has arrived. A few minutes pass and the defence attorney walks out of the building, in his classic blue suit but something seems different...

"Did you get a new suit?" Edgeworth asks Phoenix curiously, studying his outfit then meeting his eyes. "Oh! Yeah! Yeah I did! Do you like it?" Phoenix smiles and Edgeworth sweetly; that god damn smile, I look away to hide my face. "It's.. alright." Edgeworth replies embarrassing and Phoenix pears at him to try see Edgeworth's face. "Lets go shall we?" Edgeworth asks, beckoning Wright to enter his red car and Phoenix nods and replies with a soft "of course."

The two get to the karaoke place and Phoenix's mouth is open in awe and utter shock. "Are you alright Wright?" Edgeworth asks, confused why he's so shocked, Phoenix just shakes his head and rubs the space between his eyes and says "sorry Edgeworth I keep forgetting you're so rich, this place just looks beautiful-" Phoenix smiles brightly "-thank you for taking me here, it's quite pretty for a karaoke place." Edgeworth just looks at Phoenix and cracks a smile, whenever Phoenix is happy, he is happy. "You're welcome, Phoenix."

The two enter the karaoke place and they walk into their room.

2 hours later - 11:35pm

Phoenix watches Edgeworth sing his heart out to their childhood song Olde Tokyo which Phoenix's aware that was Edgeworth's favourite song but something is different here.

Phoenix can feel his heart pounding, he feels his face and its quite hot. He's  mesmerised as he watches Edgeworth sing, he's so good at singing.. Phoenix thinks as Edgeworth finishes the song. Edgeworth is breathing heavily. He takes a minute to catch his breath, then looks at Phoenix whose face has become a tomato.

"Are.. Are you alright Wright?" Edgeworth asks which concern in his eyes, he walks towards Phoenix and cups his face in his hands, "you don't look well, do you need to see a doctor?" "No! No no I'm alright Miles!" Phoenix pulls away in embarrassment. Phoenix clears his throat, "sorry, that was just- you're-" he pauses to find the (w)right words and Edgeworth tilts his head to the side, confused.

"That was amazing. You're amazing."

Edgeworth's eyes widen as Phoenix finished his sentence, he turns bright red then looks away, unable to make eye contact with Phoenix, Phoenix Wright. His friend. His boyfriend.

Why does this feel so wrong yet so right?

Edgeworth hears Phoenix chuckle
"You're as bad with love than I am Miles." Phoenix says politely and beckons Edgeworth to sit down and Edgeworth does so.

Edgeworth sits next to Phoenix then looks at him, "well, it's your turn to sing go ahhe-" Edgeworth gets cut off by Phoenix kissing him on the lips. A quick kiss. Phoenix gets up with one hand on Edgeworth's shoulder and smiles at the prosecutor. "Yes of course darling." Phoenix walks away leaving Edgeworth to process everything.

The two finish up their karaoke date at around 1:30am, Edgeworth drops Phoenix off at his office and Phoenix insists Edgeworth comes inside to stay for the night.

So the two head to bed, Edgeworth insists he sleeps on the couch but Phoenix drags him to sleep in Phoenix's bed, they fall sleep in each others arms, falling asleep in a warm embrace.
