Chapter 6 Pain

Chapter 6 Pain

Third person pov.

Ray started to feel a bit better then she felt before, but she still had a pounding and pulsing headache, she felt sick to the stomach, her throat was dry; luckily Alex quickly got water bottles for her to keep her hydrated. She felt shaky, and her mind was filled with so many harsh dark thoughts that go like,

You're going to die.

You hit your head too hard, you will die.

I'm going to go blind.

I'm about to pass out.

Then the dark thoughts that play out a scenario like,

It went with her hitting her head, the room being filled with people's eyes on her, then her being rushed to the hospital, going through the whole scanning and testing process of her being checked over, and then being told she will die, then dying. It didn't end there however, it continued with her little brother and what his life would be and that just ended with him dying because her mind couldn't give her a break.

As many times Ray said she was fine, Alex didn't listen and still took Ray to the hospital to be checked out.

Alex decided, instead of the school office nurses checking over her, he would just take her to an actual doctor to get her checked out.

He didn't care that he was going to miss his first classes of the school year. In fact he didn't care, he was happy to be out already; not happy that the reason was to go to the hospital because someone was hurt, but other than that, he was happy.

He knew he was close to the hospital now, his mother works there and sometimes after school he would visit her on her breaks; so he knows how long it will take them to get there from the school, "We are almost there" he said.

Ray grumbles out an "ok."

She sat in the passenger seat trying to keep herself calm, so she wouldn't freak out like before.

She needed to stay calm, if not, she would be throwing up again, crying and freaking out and she doesn't want to do that again. Especially not in someone else's car.

Drinking water wasn't helping her much; it was filling her stomach that already didn't feel good, but the dry scratchy throat feeling she was experiencing was worse because it made her cough and that cough makes her gag, and that just leads to her maybe throwing up. So sipping water was what she had to do at this moment.

She felt stupid for not being more careful enough. To her this wouldn't have happened if she didn't just take her time to leave her classroom.

"Alex, what are you doing here?"

Third person pov.

Jeremy waited for every single bell to go off and when it did, he went looking for his soulmate between walking to his classes, break and lunch; but he couldn't find Ray anywhere, and he had checked almost every room he was able to go in an look for her, he looked outside and he still couldn't find her.

He asked his older sister's friends if they had seen her, but none of them remembered her; even when he tried to explain how she looked to them, and when that failed, he finally used her name, however he couldn't remember her last name. They still didn't know who he was talking about. Name even concluded.

Made sense, he wasn't great at explaining her to them and they had a life of their own.

If Jeremy had said that the person he was looking for stuttered from the start to them, they would have known who he was talking about, but he didn't think of it, nor did he care that she stuttered.

Only when Jeremy left did they remember who he was asking for. 

Of course comments, stories, and inside jokes of previous years with Ray went flying around the laughing group.

If Jeremy was still there, he would have told them off. Got them to stop, maybe cause a fight too, but he wasn't there anymore.

No one talks shit about his soulmate, even if he doesn't know much of her, but he wanted to get to know her.

Jeremy Gilbert was strong in his belief in soulmates. He loved the concept of soulmates and everything that went with it, and he will always love it.

He loved the concept that there was literally someone made for him. Someone who will love, cherish, care, adore him for the rest of his life. Someone who wouldn't judge him for him, and would love him for him.

Ever since he got his soul-words at the young age of nine, he has dreamt about this day for years now.

So he was disappointed when it was almost five pm, with most of the vehicles in the school's parking lot gone, and most of the students gone too.

He had rushed to the main front doors of the school when his last class ended: hoping he would cross paths with Ray again.

At one point he went back into the school and looked for her, but found nothing.

He even bumped into Alaric who seemed to be looking for someone too.

The two didn't know they were looking for the same person. Ray.

Even at the end of their quick conversation, they still didn't know they would be sharing a soulmate together.

At that point Jeremy felt full-on disappointed.

He knew at this point, he would have to wait maybe another whole school day to see her and talk to her. To get to know her. To connect their first soulbonds together. Only if she wanted to be with him.

He never wanted to be rejected by his soulmate, but he wasn't going to force someone to be with him if they didn't want to be, that's just not him.

He got in his car, left the school, and went home.

Luckily when he pulled up to his house, no one was home; so he could sulk alone.

So he did, for a bit. Then he started panicking on what he should wear and look for tomorrow when he sees his soulmate.

He didn't need to panic about it, he knew it shouldn't matter, but he couldn't stop himself for some reason.

He wanted to look good for her.
