Chapter 24

The thumping of heart is clearly audible to the alpha's ears as the luna hides himself below his neck. The expand of Taehyung's upper body engulfing the Luna's entire figure making him look smaller than the alpha.

Heart in a mess and breath caught in his throat, Taehyung wraps his arms around the luna who is still engulfing himself in the warmth released by the alpha's body. The alpha could feel the luna shifting in his position as he tightens his hold around him not trying to break free from the hug.

Taehyung could feel his hanbok dampening with the tears of the luna who sniffles over the alpha's shoulders. Taehyung let's him cry his heart out, unable to think of the exact reason why his mate must be crying.

With no courage of asking questions to his mate and with the fear of this beautiful moment of comfort breaking into loneliness, the mates stand there in the same position for the next fifteen minutes.

When Taehyung finally feels the luna calming down and sniffling slowly, he with a heavy heart breaks the hug only to cup the Luna's cheeks.

"It's okay. No one is taking you away from our pack. I won't let that happen. ", Taehyung caressed his red cheeks with a fear of the luna jerking away from his touch still lingering in his mind.

" I don't want to go. I want to stay here. ", Jungkook chants as he shakes his head, his doe eyes not leaving the alpha's as he tries to communicate with him.

" Calm down. Trust me, you are not going away from here. ", Taehyung wipes off the tears with his thumb as he feels the soft milky skin of the Luna's cheeks below his thumb.

" Promise? ", Jungkook questions as another stream of tears begin to flow out of the Luna's doe eyes.

" You have my promise. ", the alpha assures making Jungkook's erratically beating heart at ease.

" I thought my dream will come true. ", Jungkook sniffles as he unconsciously moves his face into the alpha's palms, finding warmth in the alpha's touch.

" What dream? ", Taehyung questions, his brow frowning as he continues to rub his thumb over the Luna's cheeks.

" I had a dream that my mother was successful in manipulating you and you agreed on letting me go. ", Jungkook says as he starts wailing out loud has if his dream will come true.

" No one can manipulate me, my heart. I am a trueblood so no one but you can manipulate me. ", the alpha now has a smile on his face as he looks at the adorable luna who has his eyes turned wide.

" Why only me? ", he questions making the alpha chuckle. The deep sound that the alpha let's out makes the luna weak in his knees.

" Because you are my mate and being a trueblood's mate has it's own perks. ", the alpha explains making the luna nod. The blush that blooms on the Luna's cheeks doesn't go unnoticed by the alpha.

" Why are your cheeks red? May I know what you are thinking about? ", the alpha questions earning a small no from the luna.

'I felt special'

Jungkook wants to say this out loud to the alpha but he thinks otherwise. The luna suddenly aware of his surroundings and himself , let's out a whine when he realizes that how messy he must be looking in front of the alpha.

"What happened? ", the alpha asks as he tries to observe the Luna's face to find the reason behind the sudden discomfort.

" Nothing. ", the luna shakes his head which is now ducked down, invisible to the alpha's eyes.

" Tell me, please. ", the concerned voice of the alpha makes the luna look at him as he mumbles something under his breath.

" My heart, being a trueblood I have a good listening strength but still I am unable to hear whatever you just muttered under your breath. ", the alpha says making the luna glare at him.
