Taehyung looks at himself in the mirror, the yellow hue coming from the sun makes his pupils shine golden. He has never been this nervous and excited in his life before. Even when he first saw Jungkook. When First realized that Jungkook is his mate.
It's still afternoon, the sun shining bright in the sky but soon the sun will set and the moon will glow in full circle. Full moon night. Nightmare for a few, blessing for a handful. Taehyung is one of the lucky ones.
Luck. Taehyung never believed in it. It's superficial for him. Just a cocoon for protecting what's actually written in your destiny.
The hanbok he's currently wearing lays heavily on his body, it's weight always reminding him of who he is. A pack leader.
The only jewelry he's currently wearing is the neck chain around his neck. The pendant with Jungkook's name engraved on it, feels light. Belonged. He doesn't have to look at the neck chain or feel it to know that he's a husband. It comes from within him.
Taehyung takes a deep breath as he walks away from the mirror. He's about to walk out of the closet when someone knocks at the door. Taehyung sighs before opening the door. He's not in the mood to talk to people who are not his mate.
"Alpha Taehyung, the rituals will begin in an hour. Luna is with omega Jin. He has requested me to let you know that his mindlink is blocked because of the change in his wolf. He'll get back to you soon." Noor bows to the alpha before saudering out of his chamber, not before receiving a nod from the alpha.
Taehyung curses before pulling the door shut. He woke up today only to find the other side of the bed empty. He is aware that it's a part of their ritual for the mates to stay away from each other until the full moon apears in the sky but he was not aware that he would be this frustrated by it.
The least they could do to be closer to each other is to mindlink but that's also not happening. He understands the Jungkook's omegan wolf must be acting up. Too shy to even talk to his alpha mate. It happens with most of the alpha's. Although, he had already come up with the same conclusion when he had earlier tried to mindlink his mate but there was no response from the opposite side. He's relieved now that Jungkook has confirmed his assumption.
He's used to seeing Jungkook's face as soon as he wakes up, it helps him get started with his daily routine, calms him down early in the morning.
The alpha sighs once again, before leaving a loud groan as he moves his fingers through his hair. It's not desperation of mating with Jungkook, it's the anxiety of being away from him. He wants to be near his mate, wants to see him, wants to hear him. But that passage is blocked from all the direction currently and he can't help it but feel frustrated.
