Avery is a vampyre. A creature of the night, a stalker - stealth itself. Or, soon, she will be - in this world, to become a full Vampyre, you need to be claimed by another. In short, another vampyre has to bite you. That's pretty daunting.
A few hundred years ago, Avery's family, the Pirmais', stole the home of another coven of Vampyres - The Ceļinieks.
And now, three hundred years later, they're back. And they're ready to take anything and everything from Avery's family; including their lives. You see, Vampyres aren't immortal. Not really. They do age, with time - just at a rate the the human mind can not seem to grasp. Vampyres can not catch illnesses, for they are walking diseases themselves. But they can be harmed and tortured, mutilated and killed. With a higher pain threshold than any human and a cell growth rate that seems impossible, it's easy to mistake them as immortals
Avery turns to her only hope - her ancestors. She calls upon their spirits to protect her, and they grant her a shield of sorts - a force protection. Avery can not be killed, for the time being.
So how will Avery fare as a prisoner of demons?
