Walking down the hallway, looking straight forward without showing any sings of fear or insecurity; Kim Sunoo was heading to his last class of the day - art class.
As he was passing by random people, he couldn't help but to notice the amount of students staring at him admiringly whenever he was in sight.
The blond knew he had the characteristics of a desirable person. The way his face would always shine when smiling, brightening everyone's day. His cute gestures and behaviour. The perfectly matched clothes. Sunoo was indeed beautiful.
Although he definitely was aware of that all, he wouldn't dare to think his persona could catch so many people's attention.
He appreciated it. All those looks would make him feel more confident and bold in what he was doing. Just sometimes he couldn't understand, why him?
Entering the room, he was greeted with a couple of smiles and positive words - as usual.
"Hi, Sunoo-ssi!"
"Hyung, how do you keep getting prettier and prettier everyday..."
"It's nice to see you, Sunoo-ssi, I saved you a seat!"
"Sunoo oppa, sit next to me today, pleeease"
Sunoo unpacked his things on a nearby table while laughing at them, "Thank you so much for your words and offer but I want to seat alone today. We can always talk later, right?"
"Of course, Sunoo-ssi!"
"I'll be waiting!"
Finally, he sat on his chair, fixing his hair and focusing on the teacher who had entered the room after him.
The teacher explained their plans for the class, she announced that they would be painting someone from the room. The person would be chosen by voting.
Shortly after the students wrote down their candidates for the model, one person was selected to collect the votes and count them.
"Alright, everyone, let's see who will be your model for today," the teacher said, grabbing a piece of chalk to write down the results on the board.
The results were clear, the second place got a girl who had some popularity in the class - she received 6 votes. With 19 votes, Sunoo, placed first; not surprising anyone besides a few girls and boys, and Sunoo himself.
He didn't expect it, thus, blushing at the thought of it, 'People must really like me, then.'
"Congratulations, Kim Sunoo! Now please move to the center and pose however you feel like. Everyone, please go to your easels and start your work. You may use pastels, paints or charcoal."
Hearing the commands, students began drawing and painting while Sunoo sat there awkwardly in the middle. He thought he would do some kind of comfortable pose since he would be staying in the position for quite a long time.
Thirty minutes had passed, the teacher announced a break. Standing up from the chair, Sunoo could again feel his legs properly. He decided to walk around the classroom to peak at everybody's pieces as they enjoyed the short break.
'Woah, these are super cool,' he thought, looking at the creative interpretations of his boring pose.
Just from a glance at some of the artworks Sunoo could tell they were an expression of the authors personal feelings and experiences. Those ones especially made the boy stop for a second in front of them, wondering what was tried to be portrayed.
Suddenly, he noticed a painting that stood out from the others. Not because of the visible skills of the artist but rather something else which truly made the boy question the meaning behind it.
Painted on canvas, Sunoo saw himself in white, black with red hints here and there. The painted silhouette was almost fully white whereas the surroundings were embraced with deep black colour.
'Why does it feel mystical and so dark? What's in this painting?!' Sunoo felt so confused.
That specific usage of colours in the art piece got the boy questioning the message behind it. What caught his eye was the subtle blood red stain-like parts made, mostly, on his clothes.
The blonds thoughts were interrupted by his teacher's voice telling him to come back to his seat.
Once the second session of staying in one position in complete silence was over, Sunoo could finally rest. Or so he thought.
"Now, Sunoo, I want you to go to see every single painting and write down some notes. Next time I will be evaluating them with the help of your own opinion on them. Please do it thoroughly. The rest, you can pack up your things and leave now!"
'Great, now I have to stay longer while everybody is dismissed already, awesome,' the blond groaned at the thought, it was so unfair.
Seeing everyone leaving was frustrating. Nevertheless, Sunoo kept silent as he filled his notebook with observations, feelings and other things that came up to his mind.
Another forty minutes passed and he was done, almost running out of the school with a satisfied grin on his face. Finishing his hard work must have given him satisfaction.
_"Mum, I'm home!" Sunoo yelled as he unlaced his shoes.
"Oh my, Sun, where have you been this whole time?" His mum came from the living room, slight worry in her voice.
"Mrs. Han made me stay a bit longer in the classroom. I was to make notes on everyone's works, so I did."
"My poor boy, I hope you're not too exhausted, are you?"
"I'm fine, mum, maybe a nap can solve it," Sunoo responded, giggling tiredly.
"Please do. I'll be in the living room If you need anything," his mum said, walking away.
Sunoo glanced at the clock. It read twenty past six. Quite late even when counting the walk home and the boy's school curriculum for that day.
'If I go to sleep now, will I wake up before eleven? Because after eleven it's not even worth to start anything... whatever.'
Eventually found himself comfortably lying in bed, covered with blankets. In no time he fell asleep to the sound of the street outside his window.
