Seungmin flattened his ears down as he looked at himself in the mirror and was finally satisfied with his appearance.
He grabbed his keys and drove until he reached his company's building and made his way to his office, "Good morning! How are you today?" and Jeongin was the receptionist that Seungmin had a soft spot for.
Seungmin quickly smiled at the younger and they casually chatted until Seungmin had to head up to his office, "I'll see you later!"
Everyone held their breath once they saw Seungmin passing through their corridors and to say that the employees at this company were intimidated by Seungmin was an understatement.
The brunette was a lot younger compared to the rest of the staff and it wasn't like he was mean he was just very serious. Like he was born with a bland expression on his face. Everyone agreed that he was adorable and they all envied Jeongin for being the only coworker that Seungmin tolerated or seemed to tolerate.
His position at the company also made him quite intimidating but for others they just overall envied him. The old chairman personally hired Seungmin and quickly resigned for his delinquent son to inherit the business.
Seungmin found Hyunjin unbearable. He twitched his eyebrows in frustration or his lips would curl in anger whenever he saw how ridiculous the CEO acted.
He felt sorry for the chairman and his wife to have such an irresponsible son that had total control of their business. Seungmin felt as though the only reason why Hyunjin even shows up to work on time is because of his persistence.
Seungmin doesn't tolerate laziness and finds Hyunjin repulsive, "ohhhh good morning." and Hyunjin shamelessly stared at an employees ass as he tried rizzing up Seungmin.
"Don't talk to me unless it's necessary." and Seungmin walked away to his office that was just across from Hyunjin.
The blonde smirked and he chuckled at the others response, "oh you're too cute." and he decided to actually work.
The other employees at the office weren't phased by his interaction but they shriveled at the thought of rejecting the CEO as coldly as he did.
Seungmin headed into his office and once he made sure his door was locked he screamed and ran his hands through his hair, "oh my fucking god that guy is seriously so annoying."
It was true that Seungmin hated Hyunjin and laziness but deep down the brunette was no where near reserved. It took all his patience to remain calm and not unleash his canine instincts and bark at Hyunjin for being so annoying.
Seungmin liked to think he had a good control on his canine instincts but at the end of the day he is still a hybrid. He likes to keep his personal and work life separated so he didn't want to disclose the fact that he was a hybrid.
Jeongin was one of the few hybrids at work and they both discovered it accidentally. The younger was making a pot of coffee for the break room until he accidentally dropped a drop on him and he shrieked as his ears stuck up.
Seungmin walked in and immediately revealed himself in order for Jeongin to calm down and not freak out over his burn.
The people at the office didn't seem to judge hybrids and they were pretty nice to the hybrids that were comfortable with revealing themselves but at the end of the day they're still hybrids and are considered a low rank despite it being 2023.
Hence the reason why he genuinely likes and tolerates Jeongin because he finds comfort in the fact that he can have someone to trust at the company.
"I'm heading home for the day."
Hyunjin quickly jumped from his desk and pushed his hair back, "why not join me at mine? I was just about to leave."
Seungmin stared blankly at his "boss" and held the door open, "no." and he let the door fall close behind him as he headed home.
