~Prologue ~
Lucy Hearfilia was a natural beauty and was also kind to heart. Her friends love her, the town loves her, animals love her. She was Magnolia's Golden Girl. She always helped out the best she could and they loved her for it so when she was asked to be the sacrifice of course everyone was saddened. Why did this have to happen!! Why!?!
~Chapter 1~
"M-maybe we'll see you again Lu-chan." Said a trembling bluenett.

"M-maybe the beast w-wi*sniffle*will be kind and he'll let you...let you...
Lu-chan! Please! Please don't leave! Don't leave us! We need you!" Cried Levy hanging on to her best friend.

"Shhh. It's okay Levy-chan. I'll be alright don't you worry about me." replied a beautiful blond rubbing circles on the bluenett a back as she cried away.

"Bu-but what if it hurts you. Or worse eats you!" She looked at her pleadingly. Lucy smiled sadly at her as she took ahold of her hands.

"Levy-chan don't worry about me you have to worry about your wedding. I'm just making sure you and everyone else can be there to support you." she said giving a light squeeze to her hands.

"But it won't mean anything if your not there!" She cried as she clung to her again.

"Hey! I beg to differ." said a grumpy cross-armed man. The said man had multiple piercings and jet black long hair that was held back by a bandana.

Lucy laughed a dry laugh. She had just gathered her friends and told them that she is the sacrifice to be given to The Salamander as Gajeel like to call it. Gajeel was also her best friend's fiancé.

"We're all worried about you Lucy. We don't know what that beast truly wants with you." Said Erza in the strongest voice she could. But in the end failed miserably as her voice cracked at the end. Lucy was like sister to her they had been together since childhood.

"Yeah. We all care for you. Childhood friendship tends to cause that you know." said Gray with a small smile. He's breaking and they could all see it through his eyes.

"When are ya goin off Bunny Girl?"asked Gajeel in a caring voice which surprised them all. Lucy snapped out of it first and replied.

"Tomorrow. I have to go to old man Makorov's place. They're going to have a memorial of sort for me. Since I'm practically giving my life to a beast they want it to be known that I'm the village's savior. They even had statue made for me with a plaque and everything. Lady Porlyusica told me that it would be put in the Magnolia's South Gate Park." She was going to save her friends and the village from a beast. At Least she was going to do something right from the life her parents fought hard for her to keep. She felt a wave of sadness wash over her as she remembered her parents' death. But quickly pushed it off as she continued to talk to her friends endlessly.

Juvia announced that Lucy is not her love rival anymore. Levy gave her her favorite book and the title as her Best Fiend for Life. Erza gave her a beautiful dagger especially made for her birthday but since her birthday was 2 months away now was the best chance. Jellal gave her a locket. Gajeel gave her a charm bracelet with handmade charms. Gray gave her a little crystal shaped heart that looked like a heart made of ice. It was attached to a chain to wear like a necklace. After all the gift giving and waterworks Lucy bid goodbye to her friends. She went home and bathed herself in her best body wash and used a lot of her toiletries to have the best sleep of her life. After all she'll deserve it. Once in bed she thought of her life to come. Would the beast treat her kindly? Will he set her? Oh god no Levy's wild imagination is getting to her. She decided to clear her thoughts and just sleep.

~Morning~
Lucy walked to Makorov's house or should I say mansion. She knocked on the doors and out stepped a pink haired maid.

"Are you Lucy-hime?" She asked in a monotone voice?
