The Resistance:Chapter one

CHAPTER 1

- In the Early Evening I was gathering woods way up in the mountain,I Left the house in the Afternoon I usually go there to chop and collect woods for cooking and crafting,ever since my mother was sick I've been helping her by taking care of everything including buying basic needs I don't even have enough money to pay medical fees nor to take my mother to the hospital in town.

Speaking of town we live in a village surrounded by hills wich makes the village hard to find,the mountains aren't too far from the village,my mother once told me when I was little we used to live in a city back when my father and my big brother and little sister were still alive, unfortunately the monsters appeared destroying the city.the city was destroyed alongside my family but my mother and I managed to survive so we started to live in this place the good part is that monsters rarely appear here

I made money by selling some fruits and vegetables to be able to buy basic needs,that day I returned home late the moon was already high up in the sky it was already dark I figured my mom would be worried, I entered the house and I approached her as she was laying there in the bed with a wet cloth on her forehead,it was hard for her to even speak I could see her condition was getting worse

"Chris,I'm so glad you returned safe"she said after seeing me enter,she's always worried about me even though I have been telling her I can take care of myself

"Don't worry about me mom,I'll be fine I'm more worried about you,you seem to be getting more worse"

"This soon will pass I know it will"

The next Day Early in the Morning I woke up early started to pack the stock on the cart I left her sleeping I took the cart and went to sell outside,Later at Evening I was already done by then I was happy because all of the veggies and fruits were sold out so I returned home to tell my mother the good news when I entered I saw my mom screaming in pain her condition was worsening everyday her skin turned pink as I could see she was boiling her temperature increased I was worried as I've never seen mom acting like that I quickly took a new cloth and deeped it in cold water the cloth was wet I quickly put it in her forehead and gave her the medicine but it wasn't much that of a help but it temporarily decreased her temperature and she fell asleep

At first I thought she died but then I could see her inhale and exhale she was still breathing! But she was asleep,Later that Night I was in deep thought, as a young boy I always wanted to make a difference to change the state of the world and to help my mother to be healed I started planning everything,I wanted to travel to the city of Slyvian one of the biggest cities in this country I wanted to find a job there and help to be able to pay the medical fees,after that day I decided to work hard and raise enough money to go there and change my situation I was revolted against this problem and I wanted to make things better

When she woke up after 6 hours of sleeping I told her about my plan but she was telling me it was dangerous in the city I could be killed by monsters but I tried convincing and I managed to convince her after a month I made enough money to travel and to rent a room in a apartment for Atleast 3 days

I prepared everything and I even bought a ticket for the bus and packed my clothes and I asked my friends mom(one of the villagers) to look after my mother after I was gone,she agreed to help I was happy about that everything was sorted out

"I wonder what awaits me in the city"I was sitting on top of the hills wondering and looking to the other side I wondered what the future has in store for me and the different people I'm going to meet,I was ready for anything aslong as I'm heading towards my goal
