THAT FARM BOY

˝You will spend summer with your sister in Kansas, she misses you and it will be good for you and you know that.˝ I hear my mother's words stuck in my head  looking at the ceiling because I can't sleep. I'm officially leaving in 4 hours for two months where I don't know anybody beside my sister Amie and her husband Luka. They meet through tinder, they are together for 5 and half a year now. Amie is expecting a baby boy and is 7 months pregnant and now you know why I'm leaving Denver. She need's me but I thing I also need her. 

Amie and I are 5 years a part. When we were kids we were always fighting. Even if I was the younger one I almost broke her arm three times. But when we grow up she was my best friend we did everything  together when my classmate Anna bullied me she had my back and punch that girl. But beside that we shared so many laughs and tears together and so many sleepless nights in the summer. Sometimes I really wish she wouldn't leave Denver and moved to the countryside with Luka but at the same time I couldn't be more proud and happy for her she deserve the best. But now I should try to get at least two hours of sleep.

I hear my alarm ringing. I really wish I could sleep more. When I got up I smelled the most delicious  pancakes in whole Denver. I walk in kitchen where I see my mother behind the stove listening to music and father watching her with smile on his face, some times I really wish someone would look at me the way my father looks at my mom. 

˝Good morning˝ I say first, ˝Oh hi honey, how was your sleep?˝ my mother asked me ˝I didn't sleep much, I was thinking about Kansas and how much I will miss both of you.˝   ˝We will miss you too honey but you know its for the best, I am sure you will have fun.˝ huh yea sure... ˝I hope so I mean I don't have other options so..˝  I really hope so. ˝Just sit down and eat pancakes before they are cold.˝

˝You have everything you need?˝ my dad asked me  ˝Yes at least I think so˝ he just smiled and left me alone in my now empty room. Most of my things are packed in the car where they are waiting for me to say goodbye. I grabbed my bag and phone and hugged my cat Timmy I will miss her. Said goodbye to my parents and started to drive to Kansas

Before you ask why I haven't mention my friends yet well Emilia is in Australia with her boyfriend and Mary is in summer camp for next three weeks and here am I driving to Kansas to see my sister after 6 months with Our last summer by abba in the back. Let's the fun begin.

So here I am six hours later standing in front of the door of the house where I will spend next 2 months of my life not gonna lie it doesn't look that bad. I ring that bell and the next secund I was embraced by my sister which, if I may add, is very emotional I swear she was crying for half an hour.

We talked for hours and shared some laughs and tears when I say I missed this it's not even close to what I feel right now. But then this question came.

˝Are you seeing some one?˝ hah she wish ˝Do I look like I'm seeing someone, because I don't and I'm not sure if I even want too.˝ she smiled and said ˝You know what Sofie It's a beautiful thing to meet someone who makes you forget your troubles ˝ ... ˝I think I'll go for a walk if you don't mind˝ ... ˝You know you can't run from your problems for ever Sofie˝ ... ˝Yea whatever˝

It's easy for her to say. I walked to the stables where I saw the most beautiful horse her name was ... Oh come on you got to be kidding me her name is literally summer but she's beautiful I wasn't on a horse for a decade. ˝You like her?˝ I heard a voice I don't recognize I turn around I saw him brow hair, brown eyes a little bit taller than me I'm 5'11 he is probably 6ft he has smirk on his face god damn it he is the most wait what I'm thinking.

˝Yea, she is beautiful˝ he smiled and said ˝Yea she is, your probably Sofia right?˝ how the hell he knows who am I? ˝Yup that's me and who are you, I don't thing I ever met you did I?˝ I swear I heard him laugh for a secund just great only person I met here and he probably things I'm stupid already ˝No we didn't my name is Micah Woods I'm Lukas friend and I also help Luka here on the farm˝ oh great fuck my life ˝That's nice of you for helping Luka, for how long you two know each other˝ ... ˝As long as I remember˝ we heard another steps and her he comes. ˝Oh hi, I can see you two finally met˝ Luka said how nice of him to never mention his friend who bay the way helps him on the farm. ˝Yes we did but I should probably go back to the house it was nice meeting you˝ ˝Yea you two Sof˝ he did not just call me a Sof did he?? Oh hell nah.

When I say I walk back to the house I actually mean I run to the house. Amie saw me and ask me if I was okey no I'm not sis I'm not what the actually fuck is going on with me why my face is like a tomato right now. ˝I'm great yea, I think I will take a shower, can you show me where my room is please?˝ ... ˝Yea of course˝

Room is amazing its not bigger than the one I have back in Denver but definitely more cozy and I have my own bathroom. I'm in love with this house. ˝I hope you like it˝ ˝Are you kidding I'm in love, thank you˝ I hugged her as much as I could.

She left I took a bath and change in too black biker shorts and white shirt when I heard a knock on my door ˝Come in˝ I said it was Amie ˝I'm sorry if I'm disturbing you but I just wanna told you that we will have guest at diner his name is˝ ˝Micah?˝ I ask before she could said his name ˝Yea you two know each other˝ hah unfortunately ˝Yea kinda we met in the stables˝ ˝Before you run too the house like you are one of the horses?˝ she laughs ha ha ha she things she is funny don't she ˝Yup and I didn't run like a horse tho˝ or did I? ˝What ever helps you sleep at night˝ she than left me alone with my thoughts.

Meeting people for me is not the easiest thing in the world everyone around me know how much I hate it. I always overthink everything most off the time it doesn't end well in last year I had problems with anxiety and panic attacks that's why my parents though it would be good for me to go out of my comfort zone and go out of my hometown. At first I thought I could cry there and then but now I'm kinda happy for it. I think I'm ready to meet new people.

˝Sofie come downstairs its diner time˝ I heard my sisters ˝I'm coming just give me a secund˝ here goes nothing.

When I walked down stairs first I saw him talking with Luka and then we locked our eyes we stared at each other and if you know me a least a little bit you know how much I hate eye contacts I felt like I was on fire. He smirked and said ˝Hi˝ I smiled and wanted to walked to the kitchen but the next secund I turned around I saw my sister standing next to me and said into my ear ˝Like what you see?˝ and in that moment I wanted to dig hole into the floor. ˝What no, do you need any help in the kitchen˝ she just laughed at me and the guys turned around to look at us. Right now I want to be back in Denver.
