𝙴𝙻𝙸𝚉𝙰𝙱𝙴𝚃𝙷 𝚂𝙽𝙰𝙿𝙴 

"Hey" I said softly, looking into his eyes.

We stayed silent, i looked away moving a strand of my hair behind my ears. It was awkward for the both of us, really awkward.

"So" Mattheo spoke up after the whole awkward silent thing. "You're not really planning on going back to Hogwarts right?" He asked making me frown. "You- you know, because of the whole th-thing that happened-" He stuttered.

I chuckled at how nervous he is. "Yeah, no" I grinned.

He nodded. "So then we won't go back either" He smiled.

"You guys don't have to stay if you don't want to-" He cut me off.

"But we do" He said.

"But why?" I asked.

"What do you mean 'why'?" he frowned.

"Why do you care?" I made it clear. "I know the others care because they're my friends but you..."

"Because-" He stopped himself.

I stared at him, waiting for an answer. But nothing came out of his mouth, no answer, no nothing.

"Right" I rolled my eyes. "No answer, got it" I was about to walk away until he grabbed my wrist.

"Wait-" I sighed still not turning to face him.

"Why should i?" I asked. "I mean, i'm not getting an answer like always. Right?" I said in a calming tone.

"I-it's not that easy" He breathed out.

"What's not easy?" I raised my voice a bit now facing him.

He just stared at me, no answer... again.

"What is it with you and these no answers!?" I scoffed and turned around, but before i could even take a step. Mattheo spoke up.

"I heard what you and Caroline were talking about" He said quickly, i froze in my tracks...

Well shit.

"What does that have anything to do with this?" I asked.

"She was right" He said.

"What?" I frowned, confused.

"When she said, 'He's too in love with you'..." He stepped closer to me. "She wasn't lying" We stared into each others eyes.

"Mattheo- we- you don't like me, we hate each other" I said looking away.

"No, i don't hate you. I never have" He placed his hand on my chin making me face him. 

"Oh yeah?" I said. "So then the bullying me in first grade was not because of you hating me?" I said sarcastically.

"It's called teasing darling, not bullying" He rolled his eyes playfully, making me smile. "But- i need to know if you also feel the same way" He said softly, glancing at my lips then back at my eyes.

"Uh, i-" I stuttered. He brushed his thumb against my lips, and the only thing i could say in my head were butterflies... fucking butterflies.

"Look who's not giving an answer this time" He said with a hint of sarcasm, making me roll my eyes playfully, scoffing.

I stared deep into his eyes. I smiled before pulling him closer and connecting our lips, he kissed back which is not surprising. I could feel him grinning through the kiss. We pulled apart, he was still grinning.
