An insecure maths teacher

              CHARACTER BIOS: 

Peter Quill: 17, tall, athletic, blonde hair, green eyes, white, lives with Yondu his adoptive father, his sister Mantis and Groot his adopted younger brother, has a huge crush on Gamora.

Gamora Saldana: 17, plays on the netball team, she has long black hair and is dark-skinned born into a Puerto Rican family, can speak Spanish fluently. Adopted by Thanos following a war in her home country. Thanos expects perfection and is abusive, however Gamora is his favourite child.

Groot Udonta: Groot is four years old with brown eyes, lightly tanned skin and more often than not has leaves woven into his hair which is dirty blonde, he is non-verbal and has autism, he is fascinated by plants and loves planting flowers and making daisy chains for Peter and his friends.

Drax 'Destroyer' Bautista: Drax is 19 years old, Greek-filipino with a buzz cut and grey eyes he is passionate about body building, he loves getting new tattoos and lost his high-school sweetheart, who was pregnant at the time of the accident, he suppresses his grief through his training. He isn't very academically inclined and is retaking his A-levels after failing them.

Mantis Klementieff: 17 years old. Brown eyes, medium length black hair with brown highlights styled in a bob. Mantis is naive and empathetic to the struggles of those around her, she is also eager to learn and pays attention to every aspect of whatever she's doing. Her real name is Pom, but she was nicknamed after her bout of fascination with insects when she was younger. She was born to a French-Russian father and a Korean mother however they passed away when she was five.

Nebula Gillan: Gamora's adopted sister, 17 she is Scottish and is a natural redhead however she has recently cut her hair short and dyed it blue. She has a prosthetic arm as a result of an argument with Thanos two years ago that got too violent. Social services have investigated the house but Thanos has connections and has bribed them into looking the other way.

Thanos Brogan: 45, Influential within the town, affluent and ruthless. Has a soft spot for Gamora but beats his children mercilessly for minor infractions.

Yondu Udonta: loves archery and loves his harem scarem kids but has a strange way of showing it, loves to tease Peter about his crush on Gamora. 53. Has a red mohawk that he calls his 'fin'.

Rocket 'raccoon' Cooper: Rocket is only 14 but has skipped several grades because of his incredible intellect. He has short scruffy brown hair and brown eyes with tanned skin. He is 5'3 and is often teased about his small stature. He is underweight because of his poor home life. Students at school have taken to nicknaming him 'Raccoon' because he constantly has dark circles beneath his eyes. Rocket suffers with PTSD because his guardian is in prison for child abuse and illegal surgeries on an unwilling patient (Rocket). He is terrified of needles, hospitals, doctors etc. He is supposed to be living in a youth centre but he avoids going there as much as he can. He loves wearing leather and fixing things, his favourite song is 'Creep' by Radio head.

Peter bobbed his head to his walkman as he walked through the busy hallway towards his calculus class. The cacophony of voices and overlapping conversations were muffled by 'Come and get your love' and he grinned, humming the lyrics, completely oblivious to the presence of Gamora, who was standing beside her locker, staring at him with a bemused expression on her face.

She fell into stride beside him and he gasped, yanking his head phones out and attaching them to his belt.
Blush was spreading across his cheekbones and he graced Gamora with an awkward smile.
"Hey, 'Mora- Where's Nebula?" He asked in an attempt to make small talk.
She shrugged impassively, readjusting the textbooks gathered in her arms.
"Hell if I know, she's probably smoking with that Stark kid or something." She responded casually.
It didn't surprise Peter in the slightest to know that Nebula Gillan was a smoker, her Scottish accent had long since taken on a raspy quality.
"Huh... Well Rocket wanted me to pass a message to her: Nebs ya hair is bitchin'"
Quill replied imitating Rocket's voice incredibly inaccurately, but still making Gamora stifle a chuckle.
"I'll be sure to tell her." She assured quietly, her brown eyes crinkled with amusement.
