-Chapter 7-

Me and Shotzi had been talking a lot more now that we were in a tag team and I couldn't get enough of her. We had been training together ready for backlash and every morning we met my breath would be taken away by her beauty, even when she was only dressed in gym gear, she had such a natural beauty to her. Today was no different, she walked into the gym and immediately locked eyes with me. She wore a loose white band shirt that had a knot tied into the front to crop it without cutting it, it hung low on her shoulders revealing the sports bra underneath, her cycling shorts were a deep green colour and her hair had been tied into a loose bun. She came equipped with a grey duffel bag with everything she needed for the gym. "Heyy!" She shouted with a smile, walking over to me with a light bounce in her walk. "someone's energetic today" I laughed, hugging her, she nodded at my comment and said "I've already had my pre-workout" 

"Nice, I'll finish mine and we'll get to work" I replied, picking my bottle up again. While I was drinking she sat next to me and even her presence made my heart race. We hadn't committed to any sort of relationship yet, everything between us was platonic so far, but it was clear we both felt for each other, after all, we're destiny. "what's wrong? you look nervous" She pondered, I smiled and took the final sip of my pre-workout "Nothing, just a little tired"   I lied, attempting to hide my feelings for her. She could tell I was lying but didn't say anything except for "Right let's get this workout done"

After a long and exhausting 3 hour ab workout, we were both extremely tired and would definitely be hurting for the next few days but it was worth it, because we were able to hang out for a while. "shit" Ashley said, stepping outside "what's wrong?" I asked, a slightly concerned look on my face. "so, you know how I have a roomie, but I'm moving soon" she began, to which I nodded "Well, she apparently needs to take all the time I have left in that place to hook up with guys, she just texted me, look" She showed me her screen and I read the message "Don't come home for a while" and followed with a photo of her roommate and a Guy. She sighed with frustration and I knew that she couldn't go home, so I suggested something  "Why don't you come to my place, you can have a shower there and then you won't be locked out. "Are you sure?" she asked looking grateful, "Yeah of course, if you don't want it to be just us I can invite Ryder and Jake over as well" "I'm fine with whatever." "Perfect, just follow my car"

I drove in front of her and we called each other just in case we got separated for whatever reason, so then I could give her directions, but luckily that didn't happen and we made it back fine. "Right just go to the end of the hall, the room at the end is my room, you can use my en suite, I'll use the other bathroom." I said to her, she nodded and headed into my room "What size are you? I'll find you some clothes to change into." I said and she replied with her clothing size, "They'll be a little big, I'm the next size up but they should be fine" I said, handing her a cropped shirt and some denim shorts, as well as a belt because I knew the shorts would be too big on her waist. I also picked out some clothes for me and took them to the bathroom with me.

After showering I texted the group chat and asked them to come over if they wanted to, Ryder was hanging with Demi and Jake was at the park with Gia, so it would be just me and Shotzi now. I ordered some food for us because I couldn't be bothered to cook "it's just us, Ryder and Jake are busy with their soulmates so" I said to her jumping onto the sofa next to her she smiled and responded with "Yeah that's fine, what're we going to do?"

"Well, since it's just the two of us we can watch a movie in my room, I have a firestick so we can watch pretty much anything" "ooh nice, I don't mind what we watch, surprise me" I smiled and nodded before getting comfy and putting on The movie "black phone." Immediately my heart began to race because as she got comfortable, she lay down directly next to me and snuggled into my chest. This was the first time anything like this had happened, and it didn't matter how much I liked it, I wanted more, but I knew she wasn't familiar with  WLW relationship and I didn't want to rush her into things, so instead of saying anything, I grit my teeth, took a breath and played the movie, burying my feelings a little.

At some point during the movie we both dozed off and I just so happened to be the first one to wake up. She was curled up, in my chest, with her arm tightly secured around my waist and once again she made me extremely nervous. I was just trying to embrace the moment with her but I kept getting distracted by her phone buzzing, so against my better judgement, I woke her up. She checked her phone "it's Lena, she wants to hang out with me now she's had her fun" she sighed, looking down at her phone. "I guess this is goodbye then, unless you wanna stay." I said, she sighed "can't, I don't need any unnecessary drama" she replied. I nodded with understanding as she stood up. Just before she left, I had one chance, before she left, to shoot my shot, to make the move that could make or break this relationship.  "Hey Ash wait" I said, she turned around and my hand met her cheek. I definitely felt something, there was only one way to find out if she felt the same way for me. I stroked her cheek and leant down towards her. With one last glance at her lips I connected the space between us with a soft kiss. It only lasted a second, but it felt a lot longer. When she pulled away with a smile I knew that our feelings matched, "you're welcome to stop by at any time" I said with a smile "I'll take that into consideration" she laughed before leaving.

Thank god she felt the same way.
