Mataraci had her debut in the Formula Series back in 2014. She had officially joined Lanan Racing in the British Formula 4 in 2012, but she had taken a year-long break in 2013, her reasonings unknown to the public. But when she decided to come back, her old team had opened up a seat for her and their choice proved to be a great success. In the three years, she stayed in the British F4, she won two championships for Lanan Racing and in 2017 she was offered a seat by Prema Powerteam in F3, next to her childhood friend, Mick Schumacher. Again in that season, she won the championship for Prema Powerteam.

In 2018, Mataraci was offered a seat in the British racing team, Carlin. After two successful years in F2, ending up at P2 with 283 points in 2018 and winning the championship in 2019 with 292 points.
