Chapter 5 Weathertop

We woke up the next morning around 9:30. The Hobbits ate there breakfast and before I knew it we were out in the wild again.

"Where are you taking us?" Frodo asked as we walked into the forrest with our pony Bill.

"I am taking you into the wild, and then to Rivendell. There the ring will be safe.

"How do we know if we should trust him Mr. Frodo?" Sam asked quietly to Frodo.

"Well young master Sam, I am a old friend from Gandalf." Aragorn said with a hit of smirk in his voice. I rolled my eyes and kept walking. Not long after, I heard rattling and banging. I turned around and all four of the Hobbits were around Bill getting pots and pans out.

"Gentlemen, we do not rest intil sundown." Aragorn said.

"What about breakfast?" Pippin asked.

"You already had breakfast." Aragorn replied.

"Yes but what about second breakfast?" Pippin said like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Aragorn turned back around and kept walking.

"I don't think he knows about it Pip." Merry said.

"What about breakfast? What about second breakfast? What about Elevnses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper?! He knows about them dosnt he?" Pippin exclaimed. I couldn't help but laugh at the Hobbits large appetite.

"I don't think so Pip." Merry sighed. Just then Aragorn through an apples and hit Pippins head and Merry caught it and smiled with victory. He through apples for everyone and we all enjoyed them.

"So miss Bella, what brings you on an adventure like this?" Sam asked me.

"You can call me just Bella." I smiled. "Well, you see Sam, Frodo's uncle Bilbo use to come and visit am and Aragorn. He would tell us stories about he fought a dragon and outsmarted trolls and had a company of dwarves show up at his door. Ever since then I wanted to go on an adventure, and I thought what better way to spend it with my brother." I said the last part sarcastically as he rolled his eyes.

"Bilbo use to come visit you?" Frodo asked with his wide blue eyes.

"Oh yes! He would come every now and then to see the elves and give me and Aragorn presents. He was like a father to me." I sighed at the thought of my father. I've never seen him. He died in battle when Aragorn was two. I never saw him.

Frodo smiled and kept walking.

Aragorn stopped up ahead and looked out onto the ruines that stood before us.

"Aw, Amon Sûl. It used to be a great watch tower, Now it is just ruiens."

It was beginning to get dark and we needed to get to Weathertop before it got too dark. We climbed the spiral staircases and came to a somewhat flat part and decided to rest.

"Bella, stay with the Hobbits, I will come back then." He put some swords against the rock. "Master Hobbits, these arw for you to use." Frodo picked up a sword and sheathed it. I nodded and layed down on the hard rock. Frodo layed a couple feet away from me, gasping and clenching his chest. He sounded asleep after a few moments. I turned around and Sam, Merry, and Pippin had a fire going.

"Mmmm, some nice crispy bacon. Oh! And some sausage." Merry said.

"Save a plate for Mr. Frodo. Miss Bella, would you like a plate? We have some sausage, bacon, and tomatoes." Sam said.

"Uh, no thank you." I said awkwardly. Frodo stirred awake and stood in a panic.

"What are you doin?! Put it out you fools! Put it out!" He screamed. He stomped in the fire to put it out.

"Oh that's nice, dirt on my tomatoes." Pippin muttered sarcastically. Just then a ear bending scream came from out over the forrest. "Run! Get up the steps!" Frodo yelled. They all grabbed there swords and bolted up the steps with me behind.

We got to the top and huddled together. I was in front with my sword high ready to kill some Nazgûl. The screams were getting closer and closer as a dark hooded figure appeared. He had A black crown and black robes with a dagger in his hand. He launched at me but I blocked him. Sam came from behind me and tried to hit it with his frying pan, but got thrown to the side.

"Sam!" Frodo yelled. He wanted to go help his friend but Merry and Pippin made him get behind them. I tried to attack the Nazgûl, but with each time I swung my sword he kept blocking it. I was getting frustrated, and out of anger, I punched the Nazgûl in the chest and pain shot up up my arm. I screamed and fell to the ground. Aragorn finally came with a torch in one hand and sword in other. But the leader came walking up to Frodo with a the dagger. Frodo must of put the ring on because he disappeared. The leader stabbed the dagger and Frodo appeared screaming in pain. Aragorn through the torch into the leader Nazgûl and ran to Frodo. He was clenching his shoulder and huffing. Aragorn picked up the dagger and examined it.

"He has been stabbed by a Morgul blade. He is passing to the dark world. This is beyound my power, we must get him to the elves." He said. I crawled over to them and managed to pick myself up. He carried Frodo on his shoulder and raced down the steps. He put Frodo on the horse and we continued to keep walking.

"Is he going to...die?" Pippin asked with tears welling up.

"He will become like one of them if we do not hurry. Sam, do you know what Athelas is?" He gave him a puzzles look. "Kings Foil." Aragorn said.

"Ah yes it's a weed." Sam replied.

"Look for it. It will help him ease the pain." Sam went with Aragorn and came back with a green plant in his hands. Suddenly I was blinded by a bright light. An elf got off there horse and walked over.

"Arwen." I whispered.

"Where is Aragorn?" She asked. She looked over and saw him.

"I have been looking for you, for two days. There are riders after you. I have to get Frodo back." She said rushed.

"Let me go, it's too dangerous." Aragorn argued back.

"I am the faster rider." Aragorn nodded and brought Frodo to her horse. He turned a sickly pale color and his eyes were grey and lost all of his magnificent blue color.

In a blink of an eye Arwen was gone with Frodo in her hands.

"Where is she taking him?!" Sam exclaimed with anger.

"She will get to Rivendell sooner and Frodo can get help quicker." Aragorn said. He glanced at my arm and his eyes widened in fear. Black veins ran down my arm and it was stinging with pain.

"What happened to your arm?" He asked.

"I tried to punch the Nazgûl. Big mistake." I joked. He placed his hand on my arm and started to chant something. Seconds later the black veins turned grey and were barely visible. I gasped as the pain left my arm.

"Thank you." I said stunned by how quick it was. He nodded and started to walk with me close behind.

"Come along Hobbits, we have 6 days to Rivendell. We must hurry." Aragorn had a small smile and we continues to walk through the forrests thinking about Frodo.
