Beautiful Mistakes: A Demi & Niall Fan Fiction

Chapter 3

“ Oh, finally! Welcome home Demi.”Maura said standing arms wide open, to give Demi a welcoming hug. No wonder Niall was a great hugger,  he got it from his mom.

“So good to see you again, Maura.” Demi said hugging her tight.

“Come in, come in. The food is almost done.”  She said walking inside were Chris, Niall’s stepdad, was sitting in the couch. “Ah, Demi, I’m glad you came.”Chris said greeting Demi. They sat and talked, meanwhile Maura finished cooking.

Demi’s POV

It’s always so nice here, Maura is such a sweetheart and Chris is really nice. Niall’s family is really down to earth and Niall himself is too, they make me feel like I can be myself and they make me feel like I’m home.

“Guys, it’s ready.” Maura called from the dinner table, where everything was set up. She made rice with sweet peas and roast turkey. After all, she did know I love turkey.  We all sat down at the table and started eating.

“So Niall, are you ready for your last show tomorrow?” Chris asked. It was a dinner table for four, Niall sat across me and Maura was on my right. “I’m excited, but I’m sad because the tour is over…” he answered.

“Have you planned any holiday?” Maura asked him.

“Actually yes, last time I went to Marbella with Darragh, Danny and Sean. This time we are going to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.” he said looking down at his plate.

“I love that place…” I said silently. “I know…”he said looking at me. “I wanted to ask you, if you wanted to come with us.” he said, this time with a puppy face, he knew I was really busy with my new album; I’ve been traveling for the past seven months all over the globe. “Please?” he asked again.

“A little break wouldn’t hurt, right?” I said shrugging.

“Yeaah!!” he threw his arms to the air like a little kid. He is so cute when he’s happy and it brings me joy to know that I’m the reason for his happiness.
