"and hes soo cute!" sophie rolls her eyes. "i know y/n you keep saying that"
i dreamily close my eyes as i think about max and his smooth velvet voice and dark messy hair. "he even spoke to me. maybe he likes me!"
sophie shakes her head. "he only just met you and we are losers he wouldnt like people like us"
"hey, uh, y/n was it?" we are interrupted by a smooth voice "MAX!" i shout in surprise "hey! how are you!" i smoothly tuck some hair behind my ear. "i'm good, do you mind if i sit here for lunch? i dont know anyone else." i nod eagerly and grin at sophie, whose eyes are wide and her jaw has dropped. i elbow her.
Max sits down at the table and smiles at sophie "whats your name, beautiful?" he asks with a wink. sophie gapes at him. my smile disapearrs. "s-s-sophie! and y-you must be m-max!" he laughs. "yes im max. you're cute,, sophie." sophie blushes. "y-y-your cute too."
my face is practically purple with rage that my best friend is flirting with max. sophie ALWAYs gets the boys. it isnt fair. i clear my throat and twirl my hair around my pointer finger. "soo max what have you got for lunch today?" max grins a wolfish grin and pulls out his lunchbox. "some tasty meat!" sophie looks confused "just meat and nothing else?" Max opens up his lunchbox and pulls out n entire roast chicken and shrugs. "its my favourite food." he starts to devoour the chicken quickly. suddenly the bell goes. "what have you guys got next?" i ask . "ive got science" sophie replies, still blushing a little. "oh! me too! with mr doe!" max says. "could we walk to class together?" i stand up "of course"
"but y/n, dont you have english with miss parker next?" sophie asks. "yes but i can still walk with you guys." max looks at sophie "no, its okay" he says. "sophie will walk with me." i clench my fists as sophie and max walk away. sophie is giggling at somthing max just said. how dare my best friend steal MY crush! i storm angrily off to english.
