Darkstalker's redemption

Chapter 3

Darkstalker awoke to his mother wrapped around him protectively "morning mother" he says nudging her awake, she slowly starts stirring her scales glistening in the moonlight "morning honey" she stood and looked around their old home "how about we take you back to the rainforest?" She suggested calmly. Darkstalker jolts up and back up "no no no"
Foeslayer is thrown completely off guard by her son's sudden reaction "ok honey we don't have to it was just a suggestion" she had never seen him so aggressive or riled up before "I'm not going anywhere" he yells spreading out his wings he was clawing at the ground showing he was unstable "D-Darkstalker calm down it ok I'm you mother you can trust me" she speaks softly trying to calm the now raging Darkstalker  "last time I trusted you I was turned into a dragonet" tears poured down his face. Foeslayer flinched as Darkstalker never cried in front of her before he was usually very secretive about his feelings "w-we had no other choice you were out of control" she slowly approached him reaching out her talon to touch his cheek to which he slaps it away "why didn't you enchant me to be a good dragon or better yet why didn't you kill me?!" Foeslayer was shocked by his harshness "Darkstalker you may have been evil but I love you and could never kill you" his glare went right through her sending a shiver down her spine "darkstalker  listen no matter how cold or cruel you are you're my son" he collapses to the ground "a son that shouldn't have been born" he growls under his breath "darkstalker don't say that clearly I need some help to get your confidence back"
