A soft breeze flows through the film on the window.

The computer screen shines a satisfying, neon purple.

4 : 2 1 a m

It shimmers on jade's shiny but short hair.

she looks outside the window.

"Tisk"

she gets up and grabs her oversized hoodie, slips her wallet into the pocket and starts to head out the front door.

the half moon shines down on her beanie.

she walked past what felt like hundreds of street lights shining down to no one other than her.

occasionally a car passes by,
sometimes she wishes that one of them would hit her,
it's probably hit or miss isn't it?
either you get hit in the perfect place where you die instantly, or it's a long drawn out death.
sometimes she wishes she would forget to look across both sides of the road and get smashed by the lightning fast metal box.

Jade likes to gaze at the multiple closed stores.

bookstore..... ice cream shop....... butcher........ 7-11!

she enters the convenience store.

takes a quick look around the isles.

The quiet monotone hum of the lights is the only sound in the store, the kind of sound you to hear in the back rooms.

The thought scared Jade for a second, then they looked at themselves in disbelief.

"why did I scare myself like that?"
she thought

she takes two instant ramen cups, and one pack of bubble gum.

"Yea, how much for this?"
she says while she pulls out her wallet

"Uhhhhgg.... Mmm... OH! Sorry, um....$3.50"

"you don't get a lot of sleep from working this late do ya?"

"Haha no..... *sigh*"

she gives a very sleepy employee the money, and walks out.

Jade doesn't usually allowed to go outside this late.
especially for something trivial, like Roman cups and bubble gum.

but night trips like this, make her feel safe, she doesn't know why, especially since it's dark outside.

dark streets don't scare her for some reason.

nothings ever really gone wrong went on these trips though.

she calmly walks home, warms up a Roman cup and gets back to watching whatever on her computer.
