She didn't understand why it had to be him, her best friend and basically her brother.

All the memories of him went through her brain as she said in silence.

"hi my names Sehun, what's yours?" the tall boy asked her as he licked on his icecream.

when they first met.

"Don't worry i'll make sure i eat the food you made when i get home"

The last time she talked to him, that same day.

She stood up and ran out of her brother's apartment leaving him confused and worried, she knew were she was running to but she didn't want to acknowledge it.

She ran until she got to the grey abandoned building.

She jumped through all the thorns and made it into the house.

As she climbed the stairs she looked at all the writing her and her friend wrote when they were bored.

writing on every step on the staircase.

SEHUN WAS HERE
AREUM WAS HERE
STOP STEPPING ON MY NAME.
SHUTUP SEHUN
SEHUN IS BETTER
MIKA DOESNT APPROVE

as she walked up the stairs her legs gave up on her and she fell.

She felt something sharp hit her head but she didn't have enough time to react before everything went dark.

..

Bright lights beamed through the room and she woke up to see Mark, Her parents, Ming and Yangyang.

"She's awake" Ming announced calling the doctor.

She tried getting up from the hospital bed but a wave of pain went through her whole body.

"What happened?" She asked as she looked her parents in the eye.

"Umm honey, a security guard found you in this abandoned house, you ran after finding out about Sehun and you kind of hit your head when walking up the stairs" Her mom said with a frown.

"Kind of, she could have cracked her skull!" Mark scoffed.

She remembered everything that happened with Sehun and she began to tear up slightly.

She didn't want to cry, to seem vulnerable or useless but she couldn't hold it in.

Her best friend from childhood had just died and she couldn't hold it in.

The person who taught her to ride a bicycle, blow bubblegum, learn to drive, died and she couldn't hold it in.

"can you please get out" she said lightly so she could sob in peace.

Everyone left except for her brother.
"Mark, i said get out!" she yelled at him and he just stared at her before engulfing her in a warm hug.

"I know how much it hurts" Mark said as she hugged her caressing her back.

That day she cried in her older brothers arm and she wanted nothing more.
