Shade's New Purrfect Best Friend

First Day

(On the Cat Pack HQ Obstacle Course)

Wild: Alright Veronica you get one chance to complete the course until the buzzer stops if you don't finish it in under 2 minutes you.... um how do i put it this way..... Can't join.

Veronica: Hmmm..... Alright I doubt I will fail.

(Starting light sounds)

(Veronica starts the course)

(At the rope ladder)

(Copykitten hides near by, cuts the rope ladder a little bit)

(Veronica goes to the rope ladder with 30 seconds left)

(Rope Ladder Breaks)

Veronica: WHAAAA (Falls on a gym mat)

(Buzzer Rings)

Wild: Well..... That's the buzzer.... Sorry Veronica.... You can't join.... but we can't take you back to your alley.... Since the Fugitive Animal Catchers, so you'll have to stay here with us.

Veronica: Alright then..... Where's the rooms?

Leo: In the west wing of Cat Pack HQ.

Veronica: Alright then..... (Sniffles)

(Shade follows her)

(Shade sees Veronica sniffling in Shade's bed)

Shade: Hey kitten.....

Veronica: Hey Shade.....

Shade: Look...... I..... Know about the feeling of failing...... Back In Claw City... I went through Cat Squad trials before coming to the Cat Pack... With my three older siblings..... Victoria, Katherine, and Cyan. When I went through the trials I had a very hard time and failed from time to time. But my sisters always encourage me through the more trials and I soon got better at it. They were the best sister I could have asked for and they often told me it's okay to fail. Everyone fails from time to time. So don't be discouraged by the fear of fail. With that fear.... you'll get nowhere. 

Veronica: Thanks Shade.... I want to show you something.

(At Jake's Mountainside, Shade and Veronica looks at the stars)

Shade: Wow.... You weren't joking when you said you loved coming here....

Veronica: This is the only place I every enjoyed. I never liked living in that alley.... I didn't have anyone.... Well almost...... there was this cat I knew and love.... Her name was Lorelai..... She was my sister.... We both lived in my alley for like away until Lorelai was..... (Sniffles) Taken away....

Shade: What? Oh Veronica.... I'm sorry....

Veronica: I used to come with her to this very location and always looked at the stars. Lorelai loved coming her.... But now it's just me....

(Goes to a wall, scratches a tally mark on the wall)

Shade: How many tally marks are on that wall?

Veronica: 1,995 tally marks. I always come her to look at the stars and to count how many nights I've been away from Lorelai. this is my 1,995th time. (Crying) Lorelai taught me so much and raised me like I was her child and I miss her dearly.... I don't know where she is.....

Shade: Veronica, somewhere, somehow. I think I know your sister misses you too. 

Veronica: Lorelai was there for me. When she was taken away.... I was all alone.... I never had a friend....

Shade: What? Your never had a friend?

Veronica: No.... I didn't.....

Shade: Tell you what.... I'll be your friend....

Veronica: Really....

Shade: Yeah.... Not just your friend.... your very first and best friends.

Veronica: Oh.... Thank you so much Shade! (Hugs her)

(Shade hugs her in return)

Shade: Want to sleep here for tonight?

Veronica: You mean..... Sleep under the stars?

Shade: Yeah. Just you and me. 

Veronica: Alright then. 

(Both cuddled up)

Veronica: Good night Shade.

Shade: Good night Veronica.
