Vincent's pov

We've talked for a while about what our favourite colours are and our jobs. She's a very interesting person if I'm being honest.

"What about your parents" I ask she then frowns. Did I say something wrong?

"They aren't in my life anymore for the good" she says blank. What does she mean by now?

"What do you mean anymore?" She sighs.

"If I tell you, you can't say anything or tell anyone okay?" She holds out her pinky.

"I promise I'll keep it to myself besides I have no one to share it to" I grab her pinky with mine.

"2 years ago I escaped from my mom and dad. They weren't exactly the best parents anyone could ask for, they would hit me every day and lock me in a damp basement for weeks maybe even months. They mentally and physically abused me non stop. Then one night I ran away and never looked back at that place" she says as tear falls.

What sick bastards. Evelyn is the most kindest girl I've ever met. She puts everyone else first and make sure their happiness comes before hers.

"I'm so sorry that happened to you" i say not wanting to make her more upset. I wiped her tears with my thumb.

"What about your parents?" She asked. I don't give a shit if anyone knows about my parents.

"My mom is decent but my dad isn't he would mentally abuse me into the mafia and shit like that" I said.

"I'm sorry" she said with a sad smile. I would kill everyone to see her smile everyday.

"Don't be, I couldn't give a shit about it" I said and slightly smiled.

She has this affect on me I don't fuckin know what it is but it feels weird.

We spent the rest of the day chatting about happier things. I learned more about her dog and how she wants to rescue others but she can't because of her small apartment.

I'll make it happen for her one day.
