Its odd.
Not in any bad way through! 'Cause you're down right wonderful

Unbelievable, however-
causing my insides to twist and turn
My stomach full of flutter
And my eyes can't seem to focus in any direction toward you

I give you my hand, cold as it may be- your warmth wraps around it quite nicely
Just the same as your gaze-
Gosh, that beautiful gaze
With hands bigger than mine, you force mine to meet with your own
A force so gentle yet so demanding
A demand for my love, my attention, as I look your way
Now with cheeks so red, I shut my eyes

You giggle, with your hand reaching for my cheek
Caressing me with the softness of your thumb before you begin to gently pull my hair from behind my ear

With one eye I peek-
To watch as you let the strands of my hair drop slowly upon my shoulder

A chill rushes through the entirety of my body
A happy jitter if you will
Fuzzy feeling
Full with a comforting warmth
You thrill me with your presence

So pure your love feels
Yet so unfamiliar I am to do with it all

I wish to devour it in a sense
To trap and contain it for myself
Isolating it from the world outside

Yet, all the same, I wish you to be free
Away from me and my selfish needs
Its human though -
It can't be helped
I'm not perfect.
but I promise you that with everything I do
My intentions are nothing more than to care for you
As I'd expect no less from you

Starved I've been for long-
The day you let me taste it with our lips, I couldn't quite get enough of it

To share your breaths was something beyond most any desire
A passion, much like fire-
We've a story to tell
Growing larger with consumption
Our cravings for one another become all the more everlasting

My home you've become
You're arms open like doors-
I bundle myself in them

I gave you my trust, which now you protect

Your love is something-
Something I just couldn't ever forget
