夏日颂歌 (The Summer Ode)

{Prolouge}

It started off as a bright sunny day, Shen Guangli left the Tianhiu sect (AkA Sky Society) and to fight off threats to the towns residing in the sect's area. Quite heroic! Huh?

However..That's only what his fellow disciples of his sects thought he would do, But in fact, That was not his goal as of now, His true reasons are that he wants to investigate his master's death before doing his own personal goals. His master was kind,benevolent, and..rich. Many people wanted what he had. Eventually causing his own assassination.

It left Shen Guangli devastated and heated.

As he walked along the narrow dirt path, wearing what seemed to be white garments that overlapped with each other, He also had a pink belt that tied it all together. As he proceeded down the path, He thinks back to when he was still a youngster within his sect..

"Master! Look! I reached the fourth stage of my cultivation!" A young 13 year old Shen Guangli celebrated, eyes beamed with joy and pride.

"A-Li! That's good, very good. Now always remember, That along with practice, you need patience. Now let's start from the.."

Just as he continues to remember he was suddenly interrupted by a man who tossed an apple to his head. He looked around then up and saw a man on a tree, The mysterious man was smirking.

As Shen Guangli looked up and observed the man's appearance.

He could see the noticeable golden locks of long hair that seemed to reach the man's lower back. This mischievous man was dressed in such odd yet beautiful garments, He was wearing at least three layers of grey robes in the inner parts of his outfit, and on the outside, plain black robes with a nice leather belt that had golden roses as its design.

The man also had a nice black hair pin that kept some parts of his hair into a single bun. Shen Guangli was very observant and wary of this man. However he couldn't help but be offended by the throw of the apple.

"Hey! Why did you throw that apple at me?!"

"You were so still in the road, I thought you were a statue~" The man responded with a sarcastic and teasing tone of voice.

Shen Guangli couldn't help but glare at the man in annoyance and just picked up the fallen apple and threw it back at the man, who by the way, catches it and then proceeds to chuckle as if this was funny. Shen Guangli was infuriated by this insolence, yet, he decided to not pay any mind to the rude "peasant" and instead just continue to walk forward as he remembers why he was out here in the first place.

Meanwhile the man up the tree was very disappointed that the disciple was leaving just like that so he hoped down the tree, catches up with the disciple and then he wraps his arm around Shen Guangli and said,

"Hey Mister, Where are you going?~"

Shen Guangli was very irritated by this and just pushed the man away and responded with a glare and a very infuriated tone

"It's none of your business, creep."

"Ah?..But you don't look like you know the way. Plus, I can be a good guide!" Said the man. Shen Guangli looks at the man, his eyes showed annoyance but.. He was thinking about it but then he said,

"Why would I let a man who throws apples at people for fun be my guide??..." Shen Guangli questioned and then eyes the man suspiciously. The man chuckled softly and replied.

"Because..You are the only person that I ever threw an apple at??" He then placed his arm around The disciple's shoulder again. His eyes had a look of mischief.

"Tsk, Liar. That still doesn't convince me though..So would you quite it?"

Shen Guangli then gently removed the man's arm from his shoulders and then quickly tried to walk away from him but the man insisted on following him as he introduced himself,

"I'm Mao Jinhai! And my courtesy name is Mao Fu."

"I didn't ask.." Shen Guangli said, still annoyed. Mao Jinhai just smiled and continued to follow him onward. Shen Guangli had no choice but to allow this man to finally come with him. So..After a while of silence...

"Aiya..Since you are following me anyways, Please guide me through this forest." He said, finally yielding. Mao Jinhai was ecstatic and so he responded,

"Finally! It was getting boring with all that silence just now."

Mao Jinhai wraps his arm around Shen Guangli one more time but this time, Shen Guangli allowed it. Though he was still a bit annoyed...Being accompanied by someone would not be to bad at all..
