"You're back."

He lightly smiled hearing his mother soft voice, welcoming him without looking at his direction. Her figure facing the old wood stove, and assuming from her position, Jeon-gguk knew in an instant that she was about to cook their dinner.

Jeon-gguk removed his straw hat. He bent down to put his bag which was full of woods he got from the nearby forest. He knew that the woods they need for cooking are inadequate and initiated to do it since his younger sister--Soo-ji can't do this task.

"I'll help you, you need to rest." He said, approaching his mother after assembling the woods on their storage. He noticed what his mother was wearing, it was their hanbok that they wear inside the palace. A servant hanbok.

Jeon-gguk knew that his mother was constantly working hard inside the palace for the past weeks. Ever since the announcement about the Princess was publicize, the whole kingdom  began preparing. This also means that all the citizen that were classified as sangmin's need to pay their taxes. This made him loathe the royal family, even the Princess.

His mother became extra busy with her work inside the castle. She barely got the chance to rest causing for Jeon-gguk to be worried about her health.

"Don't bother Gguk-ah, it's you who need to rest."  his mother stated, "Don't you ever get tired?" she continued, this time facing her son.

Sadness immediately became evident in her eyes looking at his son's figure. His  hair was messy despite being tied, some strands were wet because of his sweat. His grey hanbok is on the verge of becoming brown due to the dirt. She knew his son was working hard to support their family. She knew how much his son wanted to become a scholar, but because of their class in their society, he can't.

Jeon-gguk seems to noticed what his mother was thinking, he sighed before releasing a smile.

"Eomma, I'm okay." he said, "I can read your thoughts." he continued while supporting his mother to stand.
