Chapter 2

Nicos P.O.V-

I'm standing here holding a gun to a man's head. Its crazy how I would of felt a few years ago but now I feel nothing. No remorse. I know in about two hundred and fifty seconds this man's life gonna end because he will not give us the information we need to possess. I don't need to feel remorse. He's a fucking human trafficking gang leader.
Bang
He falls dead
I walk away, telling my crew to clean this mess up.
I decide to take to long way to the office knowing I need to cool down first.
After the drive I walked into the office. I walked into my Sargents office "Hey man the crew already told me happened. He was the only lead we had why the hell did you kill him?!"
I sit down in front of his desk "Simple. He would have never of given us what we want to I decided not to waste anymore time" I bluntly stated, while narrowing my eyes at him warning him of his next words.
I saw him have a deep intake of breath and I smirked knowing I won.
"Very well then, your dismissed for the day, we'll work on the case again tomorrow" he says
I get up not responding to him. As rude as it may sound-the way I speak to my boss- I know he could never fire me because I'm far more important to this agency than he will ever be, and I also get payed triple what he does.
I look at my phone to see I have a missed call and I few messages

Robin- "Baby I've missed u some c me I'm in town ;)"
Brad- "Hey man I know your at work but after is there any way you can meet me?"

Madre missed call (1)
Madre- Hey sweetie I was just checking in on you. I love you xoxo

I decided to go ahead and see what Brad wanted
Ring Ring
"Hey man" he said
"What's up" I ask trying to get straight to the point
"Do you think we could meet at the red rose bar in town tonight I gotta talk to you about something?" He ask
I let out a exasperated sigh
"Yeah that's fine, I'll meet you at six" I tell him.

I hang up the phone not letting him respond. I decided that I needed a drink so I went straight to the bar
I walk into the bar the smell of alcohol instantly hitting me. I walk to the bartender and ask for a whisky on the rocks.
After a few drinks Brad finally comes and spots me
"Hey man I appreciate you coming to meet me"  he says
"Yep" I say
"What did you want do talk about?" I ask straight forwardly.
"Oh yeah" he nervously chuckles
"Well spit it out" I say
"So I may have found you a roommate, I remember a couple months ago you said you needed someone to be able to care for your dog when you were gone for days a time"
" yeah I did say that" looking at my drink.
" What's his name?" I ask knowing I probably need to do a background check on him
" see that's where it's funny" He laughs again, it's a strained laugh.
I narrow my eyes at him telling him to spit it out.
"Well you see, it's not exactly a guy" he says looking down.
" what the fuck man I can't live with a girl, that's weird" I tell him frustrated.
"Look Enzo I know it sounds weird but, she just got evicted from her home, she has a daughter she trying to take care of" he tells me. I wasn't gonna lie he had a desperate look on his face.
"There's a kid too?" I ask him. Not really liking the thought of a child running around at my home
"Yes and I swear she one of the sweetest and smartest kids you'll ever meet" "she's not like those normal nasty kids" he adds
"Do I need to be worried if this girls gonna be hitting on me every second?" I ask him
"Lilly. No way she doesn't do men. Out of the four years she lived in that apartment I never saw her around a man, I even tried taking her out but she refused ever time. I honestly think she has a fear of men" he states but he seems to be thinking about something deep.
I take this time to think about what to do. I mean Bruno would like someone to play with him and I'd bet this kid would.
"I'll do it" I say
"What?" He ask in disbelief
I raised my eyebrows at him
"That's great" he says and orders himself and me another drink.
"She does want to meet you before she takes you around her kid"
"okay" I say getting up to leave.
"I'll send you where and when" he says louder. I walk out not bothering to respond to him.
