"Ay Dios Mio!" Sonya exclaimed.

"We've lost our buddies again."

Lynelle looked at her quizzically.

That's what my aunt, Tati Maria says all the time," Sonya explained. "She's from Puerto Rico. "

Lynelle shook her head.

"I knew they would be trouble for us today," Lynelle grumbled.

The two girls left Dr. Small's room in search of their buddies. They stuck their heads in one room after another. Some doors were locked. Others were open and filled with interesting items. Lynelle was not happy that they were stuck looking for their siblings. She would much rather be exploring the museum, seeing the giant dinosaur skeleton, and taking notes for her report on fossils.

"Giselle! Justin!" Lynelle and Sonya called for the children in every room that they entered.

Finally they found them in a small dark room.

When Sonya and Lynelle entered they saw Giselle and Justin standing near a long table on which sat a strange machine with many buttons and flashing colored lights. There was a microscope next to it. Under the microscope was a dish with a red liquid. Giselle was looking into the microscope.

"What are you doing in here?" Lynelle asked angrily. "I told you to stay with me!"

"Look at this, Lynelle," Giselle answered excitedly, not taking her eyes from the microscopes.

"These cells look just like Dr. Small's drawings."

"This is so cool," said Justin, moving closer to the strange machine. He reached out to touch it, his index finger hovering over a big red button. "It looks like my video game! I wonder what this button does."

"Don't touch that!" Sonya warned, but it was too late.
