Animal on the loose

He couldn't run anymore, but he had to catch the killer not only for his personal reasons, but also for his professional reasons. He stopped to get a hold of his breath, after he lost the sight of the guy he was following. And the dark cloud covering the whole sky might've given the runner a little edge to getaway. But it caused a lot of problem to the police officer that is stuck in this rainy dark place with nowhere but only a roof above his head, preventing him from getting wet.
He pulled out a cigarette from his pocket and lighter, lit the cigarette and started smoking.

Mom tells me to hide in the closet, before someone broke the door. And after sometime, I smelled smokes of cigarette, and also heard my mom screaming. I wanted to get out and ask with her, what's happening wrong with her. But I knew that my mom wouldn't want that. After sometime, my mom opens up the closet. And I could notice the fresh scars on her.

Reality checks in, slowly the rain started to diminish at no time, the sky cleared. He then hit towards his station, to report that he once again failed to catch the serial killer that has been terrorizing the whole city for over 2 months. It all started when we were informed by a local guy of Madshire, that he saw a dead body lying in a local dumping ground, when he was dumping wastes there. We took it lightly just like any other homicides, however I was suprised seeing the scar she had on her. It was terrorizing, for the first time any dead body gave me chills. We proceeded normally though, took a look at the body, took a photo and marked the death spot and made it no trespass zone, and sent the body for autopsy. We investigated the area thoroughly, and found nothing as if it was committed by someone who is very familiar of how to be dealing with homicides in particular.....not even a a blood anywhere, no carelessness, no sign of his body fluids like blood, skin or anything on the victim's body. It's like he knew he'd leave trail for the police if he'd killed him simply by surprise, that'd let retaliation and him leaving plenty of trails behind. It's like he wanted to be in control that thought of serial killer stroke my head, however no such cases were documented before. So I ruled out the possibility.
In such cases, where you don't get anything on killer after thoroughly investigating homicide location. We proceed investigating victim, victim past, victim's conflict with anyone and most importantly any eye witness to the crime, or the details of last seen, and last contacted with. We got to know that the Victim is middle aged woman, who was a hooker. And no eye witness to the homicide too. This case was heading nowhere. And victim's last seen and contacted could not be known as she was a hooker. And the clients tend to be anonymous on top of that hooking up is trend that is basically done at night to avoid drawing out attention of cops.
With every roads taking us nowhere, there was only one unethical way to do this, I (the head of this investigation) went to 'The Angel's alley'. It's an alley where hookers wait to be picked up. Upon the alley, I met a hooker who was very close to the victim(Eva). When I first talked to her about Eva, she thought I must be knowing anything about why she's not coming to business lately. I told her that i was cop and that Eva suffered tragic death. She asked me how and what happened? I replied her, "it's the most brutal condition, i've seen anyone's corpse". The she sobbingly asked tell me everything? I said, " she was naked, her hands tied, mud stuffed in her mouth, and........"
"And what officer?", She said loudly. I replied " approximately 36 scars of stabbing starting from chest down to abdomen, eyes gouged out, annnn....andd......"
"Is there still anything worse than she already met with, that u trying to hide officer?", She asked sobbingly. "And one of her nipples were torn down, and around them were bite marks of teeth" I replied
Even for us cops, this was uncomfortable. Imagine a normal person bearing this, it'd be like ground off of their leg. She was shocked and said, "Animal, An Animal is on the loose. Get hold of it officer. Get hold of it" & right in the moment she collapsed
