Chapter Two

Our flight lasted for 10 hours and we arrived at Florence, Italy quiet late. We booked two rooms at Hotel Atlantic Palace, we checked in, went to our separate rooms and I slept as soon as my head hit the pillow.

The sun's rising, the birds are singing and the morning feels beautiful. Here I am, enjoying my beauty sleep until, "Zoey GET UP".

Mina decided to bust into my room and jump on my back. Why can't she wake me up like a normal person like rise and shine or tap me till I wake up. No! My best friend who I'm trying not to kill decides to wake me up by jumping on me.

"Mina I would hurt you". If you haven't noticed, I'm not a morning person.

"I'm sorry your majesty, I meant get your royal ass up. We are going on a tour today".

"Leave me alone, I want to sleep". "Girl you would sleep later, let's go out now". "Get out".

I'm frustrated and I did what anyone would do, I threw my pillow at her but I missed. "Girl come on we have so many places to see". "If I get up, would you shut up?" I ask, she nods. I reluctantly got up and went to the bathroom.

After doing my business in the bathroom, I finally had time to check the interior of the room and I'm impressed. From the white walls to the wooden floors and door, let's not forget the balcony. It's giving homey and relaxing vibe. I absolutely love it.
I'm so busy admiring the room that I didn't notice Mina entering my room until she said, "Zozo call your mom, she said she called you but you didn't pick".

"She did?", I asked while I checked my phone and saw several missed calls. "Oh My God...she going to freak out". "She's already freaking out Zo". "Shhh, I'm calling her now".     

She picks the call as soon as it rang, ''hi momma, sorry for not picking up. I fell asleep as soon as I got to my room and I forgot to switch off the airplane mode on my phone''. ''It's ok baby, how was your flight?''

''God mom, it was terrible. This kid wouldn't stop throwing a tantrum, I couldn't sleep at all. Anyways, how's dad?'' ''Your dad is fine, he misses you''. ''Awwn, I miss you guys too''.

I was about to say something when I heard dad's voice, ''Is that Zoey?''

''Yes dear'', mom replied. I can imagine the heart eyes she gives him. I wish I have someone to look at me like how my perents look at each other.

''Hi baby''. ''Hi daddy, how are you? I hope you aren't bored without me''. ''I'm fine baby. No I'm not bored, you know me Zozo, I will always find something to fix in the house. When are you coming home? I already miss you".
''Dad I don't want you to get hurt, just relax dad. I don't know when I'm returning yet''.

''I would Zozo. Come home soon and be careful''.    
Mom took the phone saying, 'Richard I want to talk to my baby'. ''How is Mina and Italy?'' ''She's good still as loud as ever and I can't say much about Italy''. ''Why?''

''We arrived late and I was too tired to look at it but the hotel room is beautiful''. Mom and I spoke for a while till I heard a knock on the door and Mina's annoying voice, "Zoey are you ready yet?" "No, I'm talking to mum. Ok mom I have to go now, I love you. Bye''. ''Ok honey, love you too and don't forget to call your brothers. Bye''. "I would, tell dad I love him".

After the call, I had my bath and got dressed. We left the hotel room and got ready for some site seeing. We found our tourist bus and started our little tour.

After spending the whole day touring, all I have to say is Italy is beautiful and I'm in love with it. We got back to our hotel room late but we didn’t feel tired, so we decided to watch a movie.
