 Part 1 : The Prince's Plight

In the kingdom of Asoria, nestled amidst verdant hills and shimmering rivers, a young prince named Hiroshi grappled with his own silent struggle. Born into a world where magic thrived, Hiroshi possessed an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a heart brimming with dreams. Yet, his dreams were bound by the chains of an affliction—a crippling inability to walk.

Hiroshi, a second-born prince, found solace within the walls of the grand palace. He was raised in a loving family, with his elder brother, Prince Kenji, as his closest confidant. Prince Kenji, beloved by the people for his gentle nature and magnetic charm, treated Hiroshi with unwavering love and respect. Their father, King Takeshi, ruled with benevolence and was greatly fond of his younger son.

The people of Asoria held no disdain for Hiroshi. Instead, they regarded him with empathy, recognizing the fortitude and determination that radiated from his being. Yet, beneath his composed facade, a well of sadness threatened to engulf him.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, as Hiroshi's spirit waned, his once vibrant curiosity fading into apathy. The whispers of the court, filled with tales of adventure and the wonders of the outside world, felt distant and meaningless to him. He had come to accept his fate, believing that he was destined to remain confined to his wheelchair, unable to experience the thrill of exploration and the freedom of movement.

It was amidst this state of despondency that a figure emerged on the road leading to the palace gates. The stranger carried an air of adventure, his rugged appearance contrasting the refined elegance of the palace. It was Kazuki, the renowned sorcerer, known to the world but unknown to Hiroshi, who approached the gates like any other traveler.

The palace guards, well-versed in the tales of Kazuki's powers, welcomed him with deference and directed him to the palace's guest chambers. However, Hiroshi, secluded in his own world, remained oblivious to the arrival of this mysterious visitor.

Days turned into weeks as Kazuki roamed the castle premises, observing the opulence and grandeur of Asoria. He caught glimpses of Hiroshi from afar, noting the prince's downcast gaze and the weariness that cloaked his demeanor.

Intrigued by the young prince's plight, Kazuki's curiosity deepened. He sought to learn more about Hiroshi, to understand the depth of his sorrow and the dormant potential that lay within him.

One evening, as the sun painted the sky with hues of crimson and gold, Hiroshi found himself drawn to the palace gardens, seeking solace amidst nature's embrace. The scent of blooming flowers mingled with the gentle breeze, offering a momentary respite from his heavy heart.

Lost in his thoughts, Hiroshi heard a rustling of leaves behind him. Startled, he turned to find a stranger—a man with kind eyes and an aura of wisdom—watching him intently. Hiroshi's gaze narrowed with curiosity and a tinge of weariness.

"Who are you?" Hiroshi asked, his voice laced with a mix of indifference and resignation.

The stranger smiled gently. "Forgive my intrusion, young prince. I am Kazuki, a humble traveler on a quest for knowledge and discovery. I have heard of your struggles and felt drawn to your presence."

Hiroshi's eyes narrowed further, his voice laced with skepticism. "Why should my struggles concern you? I have grown accustomed to my condition, and the prospect of change seems futile."

Kazuki's smile remained unwavering. "Young prince, it is precisely in moments of despair and resignation that the seed of possibility lies. I have seen in you a spirit that yearns for something more—a chance to break free from the chains that bind you."

Hiroshi's gaze flickered with a glimmer of interest, though masked by his guarded demeanor. "And what is it that you propose, Kazuki? How can a mere traveler assist me in overcoming my affliction?"

Kazuki's eyes sparkled with warmth as he spoke. "Within you lies untapped potential, my prince—a potential that transcends the boundaries of your physical condition. It is not impossible to find a way to alleviate your affliction, to allow you to walk once more."

Hiroshi's breath caught in his throat, his eyes widening with a mixture of hope and disbelief. "You speak of a solution to my condition? Is there truly a way?"

Kazuki hesitated for a moment, his gaze searching Hiroshi's face. He admired the prince's unwavering spirit and kind heart, However, he chose his words carefully, not wanting to overwhelm the prince with lofty aspirations.

"There is a path, young prince," Kazuki said, his voice filled with gentle resolve. "A path that may lead you to the solution you seek. But it is not an easy journey, and it entails facing a formidable creature—a legendary dragon known as Nihon. Defeating this creature grants the victor a single wish, a wish that can reshape the course of one's life."

Hiroshi's eyes widened with a mix of apprehension and determination. He considered the weight of Kazuki's words, his heart yearning for a chance to change his fate.

"Tell me more about this dragon," Hiroshi implored, his voice laced with newfound hope. "How many have faced it, and what challenges lie ahead?"

Kazuki studied Hiroshi intently, recognizing the fire of determination that burned within the prince's eyes. He marveled at Hiroshi's resilience and the unwavering kindness he had witnessed during his time in the castle.

"Few have faced Nihon," Kazuki replied, his voice tinged with caution. "It is a creature of immense power, and the lair where it resides shiftsfrom year to year, making it a challenge to locate. Many skilled individuals have attempted to defeat the dragon, but only a handful have succeeded. The dragon has taken the lives of numerous brave warriors who dared to face it."

Hiroshi nodded, absorbing the weight of Kazuki's words. "And what of the wish granted to the victor? Can it truly bring about a change, a chance for me to walk again?"

Kazuki's gaze softened, his voice filled with empathy. "The wish granted by the dragon holds great power, capable of altering one's destiny. But I must caution you, young prince, that the path is treacherous and the journey fraught with danger. It is not a decision to be taken lightly."

Hiroshi's resolve remained steadfast. "I understand the risks, Kazuki. I have spent enough time confined to my wheelchair, longing for freedom. If there is even a glimmer of hope to change my fate, I am willing to face whatever challenges lie ahead."

"I wish I could be the one to guide you" Kazuki replied, his voice filled with caution. "However, my journey lies in a different direction. I seek to increase my core power, and for that, I require a sparring partner who can match my might. Unfortunately, young prince, you are not on the same level as me."

Hiroshi's heart sank, his hopes dashed by the realization that he may not be the one to accompany Kazuki on his quest. Yet, he remained determined, willing to rise to the challenge and prove his worth.

"I understand, Kazuki," Hiroshi said, his voice filled with determination. "If I am not yet on your level, then I shall find my own path. I will train, grow stronger, and rise through the ranks. And when the time comes, I hope to spar against you, to prove that I am worthy of your attention."

Kazuki regarded Hiroshi with a mixture of surprise and admiration. He recognized the fire of determination within the prince's eyes and the unwavering resolve in his voice.

"I commend your spirit, young prince," Kazuki replied, his voice filled with a mix of caution and encouragement. "Becoming a formidable sorcerer is no easy feat, but with dedication and perseverance, you may find the strength to face the challenges that lie ahead. Train diligently, Hiroshi, and perhaps one day, our paths shall cross."

Hiroshi nodded, accepting the challenge that lay before him. "Thank you, Kazuki. Your words inspire me. I shall devote myself to training, honing my skills, and rising through the ranks. When that day comes, I hope to stand as your equal."

And so, with a renewed sense of purpose, Hiroshi decided on embarking on his own journey—to train, to grow, and to prove his worth. The path ahead would be arduous, but Hiroshi was determined to surpass his limitations and achieve the strength necessary to face the dragon, to claim his wish, and to reshape his destiny.
