flurry

"It's snowing." Tsuyu announces to the group.

"Seriously?" Kirishima says, "It's not even winter yet!"

"That certainly is strange. Think something's happened?" Todoroki asks, laying down on the couch.

"No way! You guys know weathers weird, don't be silly." Uraraka says as she walks over to Tsuyu by the window.
Tsuyu stares at the white snow collecting on the brown dirt outside. Snow makes Tsuyu think about a lot of things, like her family, home-cooked meals, and having fun. Yet it also somehow makes her sad, the falling of snow seems like such a somber thing, it reminds her of being left behind, abandoned. Snow is such a fleeting thing, it's beautiful, yet at the end of the day, it still disappears.

Uraraka hangs her arms over Tsuyu's shoulders.
Tsuyu thinks if they could stay like this, it wouldn't be so bad.

Uraraka wakes up to the mildly (very) annoying noise of her alarm clock in the morning. She yawns as she turns it off and flops back into bed. She stares at the ceiling as she begins to visualize her day, hopefully giving her some motivation to get up.
Today, they've got regular class.
...
That didn't seem to help.
However, class means lunch and who would want to miss that? It's always a treat to see her friends, she's very big on quality time and can't imagine not being with them. Also, there's the added bonus of seeing Deku.

Oh, right.

Uraraka has an extremely obvious crush on Deku to everyone.

But that's not how she actually feels. Uraraka herself knows what people think, she knows they think she's in love with Deku, she hears it all the time. That's not it, though, but she doesn't want to explain herself because she feels it's too confusing. She has a great amount of respect and admiration for Deku, he's come so far in such a short amount of time, and she wants to be like him. It's not love, she knows it. Love doesn't feel like the right word to describe it. She doesn't want to be in a relationship with him, but she can see why someone would, because he's the type of person that others would like.
In the end, it's more like Deku is her role model and close friend, so she does happen to be excited to see him.
However, the one person who can really make her day better is Tsuyu. To Uraraka, Tsuyu's a calm for her. Like waves in an ocean.
Uraraka considers Tsuyu to be her best friend, they're always together and there's nobody she would rather spend her time with.
After thinking about Tsuyu, Uraraka feels motivated to go to class and hang out with her. The happiness and excitement she feels in her heart feel underlined with something else, something more.
"Ah, I think i'm hungry."

"ko.... Ochako." Someone says.

"Oh, yes?" Uraraka says, startled, as she becomes aware of her name being called.

"You payin' attention?" Tsuyu asks.

"Uhhh..." She smiles and sticks her tongue out playfully instead of saying an answer.
Tsuyu giggles.
Uraraka strangely feels something in her gut. She doesn't know what it is, but it makes her smile.

"By the way, the groups planning on hanging out tonight, the snow would be fun to play in, what do you say?" Tsuyu questions.
"Don't even ask, of course you know I want to go!"
"I know." Tsuyu smiles.

The bell rings, the whole class begins to get noisy, everyone happy with the prospect of lunch.
Uraraka hops out of her seat and links arms with Mina while Tsuyu tags along to lunch. Today's lunch is rice, beef and some strange broth that Uraraka happily grabs. They sit down and begin to chat about things they've done recently and random stuff.

"What's on your mind?" Mina asks Uraraka. "Don't tell me, you're in love? It's a boy in the class, isn't it? Tell meeeee!"
"Stop." Momo says. "You shouldn't pry your nose into others' love life, you know that."
"Awww, you're no fun! You know I love to tease."
Tsuyu laughs along with Mina, and Mina decides to change her target to Hagakure.
Uraraka sits there, ears red as she continues to eat her food.
Of course, Uraraka's not in love.
Right?
So why is she blushing? She doesn't understand it herself either.

"AaaAAAAaah!" Uraraka says as she flops down onto the couch.
"Hey, we didn't even train today!" Momo says.
"AaaAAAaah," Uraraka repeats, "I get tired!"
"So no playing in the snow for you?" Tsuyu jokes.
"Wait a minute!" Uraraka says, "I didn't say that!" She punches Tsuyu lightly.
"Go get ready then." Tsuyu smiles.

When they're outside, the snow falls on their jackets, on their fingers, and slowly to the ground.
Snowballs are being thrown, shrieking and laughter can be heard as they played in the bright white snow.
Uraraka uses her quirk to gather a handful of snowballs to hurl at Tsuyu.
"Oh-" Tsuyu says before she gets buried beneath the snowballs.
Uraraka dives into the snow pile where Tsuyu is buried, while giggling. The two girls continue to throw snow and by the time they're done, both of them are covered in snow from head to toe, cracking up the whole time.
They both sit up, trying to catch their breath.

Uraraka looks at Tsuyu and she ends up breathless again. Tsuyu is sat up, snow in her hair, wide eyes focused on catching a snowflake on her tongue. It's silly and childish, but Uraraka can't help but think she's gorgeous.
So she says it.

"You're gorgeous."
