𝐖𝐄 𝐋𝐄𝐅𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐓 heading to tyler's house. "does your mom know we are coming?" i asked, fixing my hair and staring at him. "stop asking me dumb questions, lil girl." i rolled my eyes getting in the car, the whole ride being silent. "what's wrong with you?" he asked, parking outside of the house. "whatcha mean?" i questioned applying lip gloss.

"i mean, you need to stop acting like a baby before i fix your attitude." he mugged me, making me smile internally. fix it then. "k." i smiled, getting out of the car and watching him walk to the house, opening the door.

as we fully walked into the house, i heard muffled laughter and music as we looked around his house. this is nice. this is all yours? it doesn't smell like roaches or anything. "hm, come meet my momma real quick, cause she's going to start complaining." he dragged me towards the kitchen, which i entered, seeing an older white lady chopping vegetables.

"ma," he called out, stopping in front of the island, "tyler. who is this?" she looked up, smiling at tyler, before shifting her gaze towards me. "i'm yamillie; nice to meet you." i smiled about to shake her hand before seeing she pulled me in for a hug. this family is friendly as hell. "you're so pretty. you tyler girlfriend?" she questioned, "she-" i interrupted him, shaking my head. "oh good, you're out of his league," she laughed. "see, she play too much," he said. he rolled his eyes at what she said.

tyler sat on a chair in front of the island, pulling one out for me. "yall are a little early; we didn't finish the sides yet." "so you need some help?" i stood up, pushing the chair back in. "no, that isn't necessary, but at least someone is offering to help," she said, side-eyed at tyler, who was on his phone. "i always ask, and you always refuse, so i stopped." "ok? you should still ask."

"right, it's common curtesy." i agreed with the mom, "do you want me to cut these veggies?" i questioned, "yes, please, thank you." i nodded, putting my hair into a ponytail before washing my hair. "ty, give this to your dad." she handed him the meat and an aluminum foil container. he nodded and said, "i'll be right back." i nodded before chopping.

"oh, you do it fancy; you cook a lot." i smiled, shaking my head. "no, but my dad is a chef, so he taught me basic things." "here, you can just put these into a bowl." she handed it to me, making me slide the veggies in it before cutting more. "he's a private chef or owns his own restaurant?" "he's private, so he's traveling a lot," i laughed. "oh, that's interesting; your parents can still date even with all that traveling?" she questioned sipping wine.

"no, they aren't together. they just co-parent, but i personally don't see him much." i smiled. "oh," she nodded as it got quiet, "i forgot to offer you something. sorry, but did you want something to drink?" "um, water would be fine, please and thank you." she nodded, opening the fridge and handing it to me. "you know you're the only girl tyler has ever brought home?" that made my eyebrows raise.
