Zoey ran off crying after Jake had slapped her. She couldn't believe he would do that to her. How dare he?! Who does he think he is?! Zoey ran into an empty classroom and sat at a random desk, she felt more tears slip down her face, her mascara running with it.
She hated this. First Lia betrayed her, then Drew broke up with her, and now Jake slapped her! Her life has gone to shit in just a couple days.

Lia walked down the hall, heading to the cafeteria. She still felt really bad about sharing the audio to the music club, she hated the effect it had on Jake, and she hated seeing the way people treated him after Zoey shared the audio.
Lia sighed and stared down at her feet as she continued walking when she suddenly heard quiet sobs from an empty classroom she had passed by.
She hesitated for a moment before deciding to go in and see who was crying, she wanted to do better and stop being the mean girl she had been recently just to please Zoey and everyone else. She figured this was a good start.
She opened the door and peeked inside, her eyes widened when she noticed Zoey sitting at an empty desk crying. "Zoey?" She questioned, stepping inside the room and shutting the door behind her.
Zoey looked up at her, tears and mascara rolling down her cheeks. She was a total mess, and seeing Lia just made her see red. "Zoey are you okay?" Lia asked, genuinely worried. Maybe Zoey wasn't the best person and she's definitely done a lot of bad stuff, but she was also Zoey's best friend all throughout high school, she wanted to be there for her.
Zoey stood up quickly, anger clear on her face, "What the hell are you doing here Lia?! How dare you just come in here and try and be my friend again after what you did to me!" Zoey shouted at her, tears still streaming down her face as she screamed.
Lia stared at her, eyes wide. Sure she knew Zoey wasn't happy with her, but she didn't expect her to yell at her when she was just trying to check up on her. Lia felt a sudden surge of anger as Zoey yelled at her, "What do you mean after what I did to you? What about everything you did to me? What about everything you did to Jake, and Milly, and Hailey and Drew. Why do only your problems matter, huh? What about all of us?" Lia screamed, tears threatening to spill out of her eyes as she yelled at her old bestfriend, remembering the way she treated her all these years.
"I don't care about how you feel Lia! You guys ruined my life, it's only fair! Everything I did you guys deserved! I didn't deserve this! If only you hadn't sent that stupid audio Lia! It's all your fault. I hate you!" Zoey blew up at Lia, screaming and crying while Lia just stood there wide eyed. Zoey hated her.
Zoey hated her?
She couldn't believe it. That really hurt, hearing those words come out of her mouth. Lia let out a shaky breath as she finally let the tears spill out of her eyes. She looked Zoey up and down as she cried before turning around and running out of the room, she had nothing left to say to her.
Zoey stood there, unsure of what to do. Tears still flowing out of her eyes as Lia ran off.
All she could think of was the look on Lia's face after she had said that.
"Did I really just say that to my best friend?"
