You had avoided a certain god of mischief all morning, then lunch rolled around. Today it was Mediterranean food. By courtesy of Nat, colors and flavors decorated the table. Usually, Dining was a lot more basic, but Tony wanted his best impressions for the arrival of Loki. He had insisted you all dress for the occasion:
Ur outfit, change if u want x
As you all sat down at the table, you realized this was the first time Loki ever had a good look at you. You immediately shrank back in your chair and made yourself look as small as possible. He looked at you from across the table, narrowing his eyes. This only made your heart rate quicken, as you looked down at your dress, fiddling with your skirt. Wanda, who was sitting next to you, grabbed your hand and squeezed it telling you to stop. As the meal commenced, you shakily got yourself a serving of moussaka. You began eating, your hands trembling. Wanda cast you a confused glance, which you decided to ignore. It would all pass over soon.
After a while of tense silence, Tony decided to start up a conversation. It was all going fine, with you not talking until...
"And you, Y/n? How did you get here?"
You almost choked on your food when the God of Mischief decided to talk to you.
"W-well, I- um I-"
Your sweaty hands clenched and unclenched as you struggled for a response.
"Well out with it then" Loki snapped.
You felt a pang in your stomach as you continued to stammer
"Honestly, you're so pathetic you can't even speak?!?" Loki shouted standing up, causing the team to whip their heads towards Loki, death glares on their faces. A startled God of Mischief quickly seated himself, but the damage had already been done. You got up, tears in your eyes as you teleported to your room.
Teleporting was a power you barely ever used, as it hurt. A lot. It would take you weeks to recover. Even if you couldn't see the wound, a blinding pain coursed through you. You sank to the floor, writhing in pain, your vision blurry as tears streamed down your face. You only managed to lock the door with your telekinesis before everything went black.

You awoke with the sun in your eyes. You groggily sat up, squinting at the sudden bright light. You realized that the sharp pain that you felt before you passed out had reduced to a dull ache as you checked the time. 7:45 am. Great. You had slept for a full 17 hours and 45 minutes, and yet you still felt tired. This was a normal after effect of teleportation. As you changed into your pajamas, the events of yesterday came rushing back to you. You tried to continue to change but unshed tears from yesterday sprang to your eyes.
You began to shake as you once again crumpled to the floor, heavy sobs escaping your mouth as the scene from the day before played over and over in your head.
"Honestly, you're so pathetic you can't even speak?!?"
By the time the panic attack had ceased, those words were etched into your mind.
As you got up from the floor, you finished putting on your pajamas and flopped onto your bed. Not really wanting to talk to anyone you flicked on the tv and locked your door. You scrolled on Disney+ for a bit before finally settling for Lilo and Stitch. After that you watched the sword in the stone and other Disney movies before becoming bored and deciding to sketch the new York city skyline from your window. From there you could see most of new York, plus the Hudson glittering in the distance. After a couple hours you had a painting in front of you. As you admired your work, you completely forgot about the dulling ache inside of you. It was only a few minutes later that you realized that the pain had almost gone.
" Strange..." you thought to yourself.
You went to bed that evening feeling oddly content. The next morning you awoke to your uncle softly knocking on your door.
"Y/n..... hello??" Tony sounded worried.
You slid out of bed, unlocking and opening the door.
"Y/n, thank god! We all thought you teleported out of the tower!" He said, wrapping you into a hug. You gratefully accepted it and tried to manage a smile.
"You know I wouldn't go anywhere else"
"I know, but still I'm worried about you"
"So what happened to Loki in the end?"
"Well, Nat and Wanda tried to kill him, but he's been locked in his rooms for now." Tony said reassuringly.
"Isn't that a bit harsh?"
"What he did really affected you, I know because you teleported, which you only do in emergencies." Only Tony, Wanda and Nat knew how much pain it caused you to teleport, and the rest of the team had never seen in happen, so you bet they were all confused.
"True, but he didn't know about me, so you can't really blame him."
"Yeah, you're right, I'll let him out soon, I promise."
Tony then left you, seeing how you were still quieter and more withdrawn than usual.
You proceeded to spend the rest of your day writing, drawing and relaxing, doing whatever you wanted. There was no one rushing you.
