Carmen's POV
"Carmen are you coming or what?" my best friend Lea yelled from across my room.
"Of course. Are you crazy?" I jumped out of my big queen sized bed and raced to where Lea stood in my walk in closet.
"I don't know what to wear." Lea cried shaking her fists.
"Well while you are deciding I am having a shower." After I said that I charged to my personal bathroom and striped off my clothes. I jumped into the already warm shower and immediately started scrubbing myself with the soap.
About ten minutes later I hopped out of the shower squeaky clean. I threw on my fluffy bathrobe and walked into my room.
"Your done good. How does this look?" Lea asked almost right when I stepped out of the bathroom. She was wearing an aqua colored knee length dress, matching heels, a matching headband to hold back her short brown hair, and light makeup.
"Perfect" I truthfully told her.
"I am glad you invited me for a sleepover. Thanks"
"It was nothing really." while Lea admired herself in the mirror I trotted into my closet. The racks were full of clothes (mostly cardigans) and all my clothes in drawers were perfectly folded.
I sighed a deep sigh and started going through my clothes. I took off my bathrobe and pulled on undergarment and dark skinny jeans. I opened a drawer, found a plain black tank top and slipped it on over my head. I ripped a gray cardigan off it's hanger and quickly threw it on.
"Wow even wearing plain clothes you look better than me." Lea admired and sulked at the same time.
"No way you look way better." I commented.
"Really?" Lea didn't sound convinced.
"Totally"
"Thanks" Lea skipped out of my room happily and downstairs for breakfast. I blow dried my hair then combed it till it was silky smooth. I put it up into a beautiful ponytail and curled the ends of my hair.
I put on some light eyeshadow to bring out my brown eyes and light red lipstick. Next I went on my iPhone 5 to check the weather. The temperature was supposed to be a high of 30. So I ran into my closet again and quickly changed into some light jean short shorts.
I slowly but steadily walked over to my full body mirror and checked myself out.
"Perfect" I commented to myself only and headed for the dining room.
"Hey Carmen guess what." Lea yelled at me when I entered the dining room.
"What?"
We're having crepes for breakfast." A smile lit my face as I slid into the seat next to Lea. She was such a kid at times and that's why I love her.
My mom wandered into the dining room holding her phone in one hand and a brush in the other.
"Mom you look amazing. what is so important?" I asked her staring wide eyed at my changed Mother.
"Well I have a job interview."
"Did you say job?"
"Yes I did sweetie. I miss work so much I want to do it again." My Mom sounded so excited I couldn't help feeling happy for her.
"Are you leaving now?" Lea spoke my thoughts.
"Yes I am. Actually if I don't leave this second I will miss my interview."
"Good luck Mom." I yelled after her as she raced for the door with all her stuff.
"Thank you baby have a good day at school. You too Lea. Tell Mathew I love him." My mom yelled at us in one huge breath.
