As the holy spear zooms through the airs, Shadow quickly lays Morgana on the floor. Amassing his strength in his gauntlet, he throws a huge punch at the tip of the spear. As they collide, the archangel's weapon changes trajectory causing it to fly backwards and pierce the thick cement walls of the mall. Morgana fires back with a huge fireball that erupts the second floor. The angels evade and counter with magic of their own. The two parties engage in a fierce battle.
"Get out of here, I got this." Shadow says while hiding behind a pillar.
Morgana is left quiet before answering:
"You better be still alive after this!" She exclaims.Morgana chants a magic spell and a portal appears behind them. Looking at him, she sticks her tongue out and points the middle finger as she lets herself fall into the gateway. Shadow smiles shortly before becoming serious again.
No longer pressured to defend his companion, Shadow goes into the offense. Equipping a pitch black sword that he makes appear out of thin air, he deflects and slashes through the many beams of light thrown at him. However, Shadow is left unable to do anything as the many projectiles sent his way leave him no space to act. He patiently observes and waits for the perfect moment to counter.
Shadow has had many experiences in fights and in wars. Having been part of the demonic forces that combatted the god of creation, he has experience with fighting against angels and knows of their attack patterns. Especially for beings like the Thrones who are identical creations of each other. Amongst the angelic beings he had fought with, the angels were the hardest to fight. Although they did not posses the strongest of divine power, they were all unique. Like humans, each had a different fighting style and mindset.
As he continues to defend, he finds the opportunity he was waiting for. The Throne positioned at the right has finally started to cease its attacks and has started to recharge for its next barrage. Using that delay, he plunges to the right side. He runs behind another pillar avoiding the shots coming from the other angels. Whit his hands, he simulated the movement of picking up an object. Infusing energy to his hand gestures, he lifts up all the corpses he had killed. Shadow quickly gets out of hiding and makes a gun with his fingers.
"BANG."
Aimed at the group of angels, all the dead bodies are launched at them. As they approach the angelic beings, Shadow snaps his finger causing them to explode and splatter black blood all over the mall.
To his expectations, the debris cause by the explosion aloud him to blind his enemies. Shadow shapeshifter his sword into a huge crimson red bow and takes aim. He puts his fingers on the string and watches as an arrow appears as he pulls it back further. Releasing his grip, he unloads the projectile. The arrow lands in inside the orb of rings hitting its eye. The flying sphere drops to the floor making a huge sound on impact. Following that, he fires an arrow at the other identical being. It falls, following the same fate as his brother."You wild beast! How dare y-"
Before she could finish her sentence, she is punched under the jaw. Feeling the impact, she backs up in shock. Dizzy and suffering from a mild concussion, she is unable to act as Shadow trips her with his leg. He pulls out his sword and points it to her neck.
"Any last words?" Shadow says respectfully.
"May god have mercy on your soul."
Shadow pulls back his sword; ready to swing. He imbues his blade with a dark coat of energy resembling tar. As the whole sword becomes covered in black, it ignites creating a red-black flame. He grips his sword tightly and slashes with full force. However, before his weapon had touched her neck, a shimmering force field appeared and blocked his attack. Immediately after that, a golden arrow is shot at him. Shadow was able to predict the trajectory but wasn't able to fully evade it. The arrow grazes his cheek leaving a mark.
"F*ck, that hurts!"
Black blood leaks from his wound as it goes down his face. With his thumb, he grabs the oozing blood and licks it. Shadow looks up and stares at the new arrivals. They are composed of mainly angels. The one who holds the bow walks up and makes his weapon disappear.
He has 8 wings and he's wearing a white robe. He has many accessories fabricated with fine gold. His necklace, rings and earrings all have precious gems.
Although gold has no value to them, they still wear them to show their power and value within their society. This angel was certainly very powerful."We meet again, Deiviur!" The angel shouts warmly.
"I go by Shadow now... Micheal."
The angel standing on front of Shadow is the one and only Micheal the archangel; Slayer of demons and killer of Satan: the Demon of Wrath.
"How have you been? I have not seen you ever since the war."
"Well, Ive been busy picking up after my father's death."
"Ah.. Satan... You do understand it was for a noble cause, right?"
"Yes I do, Ive never liked him anyways." Shadow laughs a bit.
Shadow or rather Deiviur, is the son of Satan. He was born by a human mother. The demon tormented her and violating her before leaving her in her death bed. He was miraculously born but his mother did not live long enough to see her newborn baby. He was sent to an orphanage and had lived there for most of his life. However, the demon blood inside of him made him impulsive and dangerous. He drifted between many places until he had decided to run to the streets. Once he became 16, his father picked him up and brought him to hell. He lived the rest of his life fighting and devouring other demons until he had become unstoppable like his dad.
During the latest war between the forces of Micheal and Satan. Shadow changed sides and aided the angels in killing Satan. At the end of the conflict, he had no more family. He avenged the death of his mother and was left with no purpose. The rest drifted on the streets as he lived centuries watching the cities grow and countries be built.
Shadow removes his sword and steps back. Micheal approches the young female angel and lifts her up gently. He leads her back to join the other angels and sets his sight on Shadow.
"I know we are good friends but..." Micheal says with a sad tone.
"Rules are rules and you shouldn't have broken them so easily. You're gonna have to come with me."
Micheal pulls out his two short swords made of light and holds them in a battle stance. Shadow makes his weapon appear. This time, he uses a longsword with a central eye and razor sharp edges. The blade is black and the hilt is a crimson red. It has many strange markings that shine bright red.
"Sorry, but you're gonna have to talk to my lawyer."
The two stare each other in the eyes and prepare to engage. Shadow takes one step and they both clash into each other. It was all so fast that it looked like they had teleport to each other. Shadow started with a vertical swing down but was blocked by Micheal's blades.
"You've gotten weaker!"
"It's been more peaceful lately." Micheal replies as he kicks Shadow off of him.
Shadow regains his footing and strikes once again. The archangel dodges and swings his right sword, followed by his other one. Shadow dodges the first strike and parries the second one. He then swings his longsword upwards for a vertical attack.
"It's futile." Micheal says preparing to defend.
"Then how about this?!"
Shadow switches his attack last minute. By rotating his grip, he changes his slash into a horizontal strike. Micheal is unable to act in time and gets cut through the stomach. The blood spurs out as a golden liquid and sprays on Shadow's body. However, it stops and goes back into Micheal's body as if time had gone back. A beam of light shimmers from within Micheal's body. It blinds Shadow and pushes him back to a wall.
"Nice try but it won't work on me."
Micheal slowly walks to Shadow while gripping both his swords. Shadow attempts to get back on his feet but is unable. The shine of light is lingering on his skin causing him to burn in agony. As the angel gets closer, a small being intervenes and stands between the both of them.
"Don't touch him!" Layla screams.
