Ch 1 Just another day

Jennie's Dream,

She could not see a thing clearly. It all was blurred. A lady whom she could barely recognise, mostly because of the poor eyesight, was making her way to Jennie. Her presence made Jennie shiver and she was left mesmerized and hypnotized by the glowing aura. She was left speechless.

The lady finally started to speak in an intimidating voice, . "Jennie! I-I found found you! Finally! I love you, I've loved you ever since the day we met. The day we..." Her deep voice faded into echoing eternal silence till Jennie was left floating alone in a void that never seemed to end. Her lips started to quiver as she looked back and forth for an opening, somewhere to go, somewhere to live. Tears bursted out from the corners of her brown eyes as she starred at the never-ending void, knowing there was no way back home, back to where she was comfortable and cosy. Suddenly, a beep went on and on and would not stop for Jennie's sake.

Jennie POV,

"Ughh, Not this again," I groaned, hitting her alarm hard and finally getting up from her bed with eyes closed. This dream has been going nonstop in my sleep lately. "Everyday, it's the same, Is God playing with me?" I mumbled, hastily. I was growing impatient day-by-day.

"Same dream again?" said a sleepy voice from the back of the room. It was Rose or more formally, Park Chaeyoung. She and I were best friends. We were going to the same college and attended the same classes so we got to know each other gradually and happily agreed to become friends. She was a blonde, although that was dyed, and an intellect and the best advisor. She was my life guru.

"Same Dream. Same lady, same void, same crying, same plot. I don't understand it. Why is it coming all the time? Is it supposed to mean something? I don't understand a thing," I cried. Was my life already not hard enough for this mysterious lady to appear in my dream again and ghost me afterwards?

"It's alright. I bet the god is trying to hint you on something. Maybe you knew her and she left afterwards or this lady is about to enter your empty life," she said teasingly. She had been dating this girl, Lalisa Manoban since a few weeks and wants me to now find my 'soulmate'.

"Seriously? You know Im not 'the one' for love and I clearly don't have time for it," I said smacking her head with my pillow lightly.

"Yah! No, but seriously, you have to find your boy.. or girl. I'd prefer a girl since most guys in our college are douchbags but it's your life, your decisions. Just.. whatever you do, DON'T ever fall in love with a red flag, love ya," she said and went on to make coffee.

"Make one for me too," I muttered as I starred at the wall. Why was I so hypnotized by this lady whenever I met her? Who was she? Why did she say that she loved me? Do I Love her?

I was so absorbed in my thoughts that circled around my head that I didn't even notice that it was getting late for my college. Infact, It was Rosie that had to remind me that there was a place called college that we had to attend for educational purposes.

In college,

I had been starving since morning because of the dream and Chae had been snacking all day. This girl can eat a whole ass truck if she wants and yet still manage to not gain a single pound. I find it rather amusing.

I was listening to the lecture my professor had to deliver, out-of-nowhere I felt a sharp stinging noise hovering over my ears. It sounded like a alarm but way faster. I suddenly started to have faint memories of something I could not remember, a lady smiling at me and my unusual moments with her. I looked back and forth, trying to look for a way out. It has started again, I thought.

I clutched Rose's arm and pursed my lips, and that was the only thing I could remember faintly. I had been having these hallucinations since a few days and it was frustrating enough. I had been going to therapy recently but I don't think it was working well as I was still as lousy as ever.

"Are you ok? Oh god, please protect her" I heard, slowly opening my eyes, adjusting my vision to the bright lights. I could recognise the place, it was the hospital. I suddenly looked over to see Chae gazing at me. "OMG ! You're Alive! Doctor, Jennie is alright! Dang, you scared me," she said jumping up and down on the chair and grabbed my hand gently. "Are you okay? Do you need something? Is everything alright ?"

"It's alright and I am completely fine! " I said with a chuckle.

A nurse ran in, looking weary, with a doctor who followed her. "Is she ok? Are you experiencing any pain or difficulties? Don't conceal anything," he said concerned.

"I am alright!" I said getting up and fixing my hair."No pain! No difficulty! Thank you!"

"Great!. It was only a dizzy moment but you need to take care of her mental health. It can get regular if you don't pay good attention to yourself," said the Nurse and later dismissed me.

I smiled back and looked back at Chae. She smiled back and we drove back. I ordered some food and took rest the whole day, being on my phone or reading a book.

It was just another day.
