"Are you ready, Lillian?" her father Augustus asked his daughter. She was not his first daughter to be going to Hogwarts but she would be the first without her mother. Her older 2 siblings Peregrine and Isobel had their mother wish them good luck on their first day and it was like a black cloud had washed over the family the day her mother had died.
Lillian held her mother's necklace close to her heart. It was enchanted to show the pictures of her parents. She held it close to her heart, in fear that it might disappear and then she wouldn't have any memories left of her mother.
"I'm ready," Lillian calmed her nerves and clutched tightly onto her dad's hand. Augustus wasn't usually one to show emotions especially since her mother's death but still wrapped his warm hand with hers. With her owl Snowy in tow, she ran into the wall of platform 9 and 3/4.

"Peregrine and Isobel make sure to look out for your sister." It was magnificent. The impressive roar of the Hogwarts express captivated her. Lillian was really doing this, going to Hogwarts and about to have the adventure of her life.
"Peregrine, how did you make friends," Lillian asked nervously, nibbling her bottom lip.
Peregrine pointed towards the Hogwarts express, "In there, Lenny." She was nervous and took her sister's hand in hers, her hands trembling. Isobel tightened her grip on her little sister's hand and together the three siblings made their way onto the Hogwarts express.
With an unoccupied mind, she found herself alone walking down the compartment aisles. Then she bumped into someone.
"Sorry, I didn't see you there. Let me help you up," a girl with vibrant, red hair and kind face took her hand and helped her up.
"No, I'm sorry, I've been told that I'm very clumsy," they both laughed as she helped her get of the floor. Lillian was about to make her way to another compartment when the kindhearted red haired girl shouted, " Hey, let's take this compartment together." Lillian was not about to pass up the opportunity to make a new friend so took her offer and together they shared the compartment.
"I'm Lily, by the way. Lily Evans," the red haired girl put her hand for Lillian to shake and she returned it with a kind smile and replied saying, "My name is Lillian Rothbert."
The two girls continued to chat for the most of the journey about everything and anything. It was almost like they were old friends and became comfortable with each others presence. Until a group of boys came barging into their compartment. One of the boys had scruffy brown hair and wore glasses, the other had jet black hair, the other had a lot of scars painted on his face and the last one was a plump boy.
"Hello, sorry. Is this compartment free," the boy with the scar asked. The girls nodded and then found themselves sat across 4 other boys.
"I'm James Potter, by the way. This is Sirius Black," the messy haired boy said, pointing to the rest of his new found friend. Lily was about to answer them until her landed on a tall greasy haired boy stood at the window of the compartment.
"Severus!" Lily called out. The boy entered and sat next to Lily. Conversation continued until Severus had commented on how Lily should be Slytherin.
"Who on earth would want to be a Slytherin?!" James laughed in disapproval, making a face towards Sirius.
"Excuse me but what is wrong with Slytherin. My dad was a Slytherin and so is my brother. I'm apart of the Rothbert family," Lillian got a bit upset at the comment that James had made. The Rothbert family was apart of the sacred 28. Her mother was a Pureblood Ravenclaw and her sister was also a Ravenclaw.
"My whole family had been in Slytherin and I plan to break that tradition by being a Gryffindor" Sirius said boastfully and grinned at James.
"Well, what house do you want to be in," Lillian asked, trying to diffuse the awkwardness that had occurred.
"Gryffindor for the brave of course, where the brave dwell at heart. Just like my dad," James was fist pumping into the air and he drew out an invisible sword.
Severus snorted at his comment.
"What house do you want to be in then," James asked demandely, he felt like he was just been offended for choosing the right house.
"If you would rather by brawny then brainy,"
"Well seeing as your neither, you might do well as a Hufflepuff," James laughed at his Sirius' joke.
Lillian started to feel her anger bubbling and rising in her. How dare they insult her new friend's friend and she felt like they took the mickey out of the fact that even though her dad was a Slytherin, he was good and kind man. But before Lillian could say anything, Lily took the reins and snapped.
"Come on Severus and Lillian. Let's find another compartment," as they left, Lillian could feel Sirius grey eyes trail after her as she left the compartment.
"See you soon, Lulu," a smirk slowly crept onto Sirius face as he gave her the nickname, but in turn she scowled and left to find Lily.
