(Magnus Chase POV)

I was walking to Fadlan's Falafel with Alex holding my hand, he was a boy at the moment. I saw Sam sitting at a table, talking to someone with shoulder-length curly hair, dyed a beautiful shade of magenta. We walked in and I heard some of what they were talking about, "So, you're a child of Thor?" I heard Sam ask, "Yes," the other person said, "Wow, I don't see a lot of people that know their godly parent before going to Valhalla," Sam said, looking down. "Meh, I've been there, technically I'm supposed to live there given that I'm an Einherji but it's much more fun to be here." the person said, shrugging. "Hey," I said, getting to the table and sitting down across from the mystery person and Sam, and Alex sitting next to me. "Hey, Magnus," Sam said, looking away from the person and looking at me, "Hey Alex," She said, looking at him "Hey Sam," He responded, "Who's this?" I asked, pointing at the person sitting next to Sam, "This is Amelia Chara" She told me, "Einherji of Valhalla and child of Thor" Amelia said. "Cool," I responded, "Magnus Chase, fellow Einherji of Valhalla and son of Frey." I finished, "Alex Fierro, child of Loki," Alex said, "I can tell you're mischievous, it's fun," Amelia said, smirking at Alex, "A lot of people can," Alex said, "I'm gonna go order some falafel, you guys just talk and try not to plan anything," Sam said, getting up and walking to the counter. "So, uh, you like reading?" I asked, trying to make conversation, "Yeah, I do it a lot," They said, looking down, I could tell they were pretty shy, Sam walked over, though nothing in her hands, "Amelia, do you like falafel?" she asked, "Uh, no thanks" Amelia answered, "Okay," Sam responded, and walked away again. Amelia took out a phone and put on some headphones and started listening to music, it looked like they were mouthing the lyrics to 'Cpr' by CupcakKe. Sam came back with 3 plates of falafel, handed me and Alex ours and set hers in front of her seat and sat down. She looked at Amelia, "What are they doing?" She asked, looking at me while pointing to Amelia, "Listening to music" I said, shrugging, "Oookaay" Sam said, looking back at Amelia.

Amelia aka ur POV:

I was listening to music on my phone, currently, it was 'Misery' by Maroon 5, I was looking out the window of this place called 'Fadlan's Falafel'. Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder, it was Sam, I took one of my headphones out, "Hm?" I asked, looking at her, she stood up, and Magnus was gone, I looked around and found him throwing away the falafel plates. Sam put her hand out for me to take, "We're going back to Valhalla, are you coming or..." she trailed off, "Uh- yeah" I said, taking her hand.

(Scene change - at Valhalla, still Amelia aka ur POV):

I was listening to my music, now it was 'Riot' by Hollywood Undead, in my room on floor 19. I suddenly heard a knock on my door, I figured it was one of the hallmates I knew well, maybe Mallory or TJ, but when I opened the door I saw it was Magnus and Alex, the people I met at the falafel place. "Hi?" I asked, "Hey, Dinner's almost ready, should probably eat before killing people," Magnus said, "Uh, yeah, thanks," I said, I could see him better, he was still wearing his green hotel Valhalla shirt and ripped blue jeans from earlier but he was closer to me, he looked pretty, not handsome, but pretty. I put my phone and headphones on my bed and walked out into the hall with Magnus and Alex. We began walking to the elevator, Magnus pressed one of the buttons and we began the awkward elevator ride to the dining hall. I noticed something, it was about Alex, he- or she? looked male earlier, but now he/she looked female... "Uh, you okay?" Alex asked, making me snap out of my thoughts, realizing I was staring making things more awkward than they already were, I blushed out of embarrassment and looked down at my feet, "I- yeah, sorry" "You sure?" He/she asked me, "Yeah, I just noticed you looked male earlier, but now you look female" I responded, still looking down at my feet, "Ohh, yeah, I'm a child of Loki, shapeshifter, my physical sex will change and I can't control it," he/she told me, "Oh, that's cool," I said, "Yeah, so you can call me the pronouns that look like the sex I am at the time, alright?" she said, putting my chin up to look at her, "Uh- yeah," I said, making her let go of my chin, we finally got to the dining hall and I was the first one out, Mallory Keen was sitting with TJ at the table, "Hey, Amelia, Magnus, Alex, come on!" she called, I walked over and sat next to her, Magnus and Alex sitting across from us, a plate of falafel appeared in front of Magnus, a bowl of Chicken Alfredo appeared in front of me, I saw Alex and Magnus talking quietly, too quiet for me to hear, but they kept looking at me, I finished my bowl and excused myself so I could get ready for the battle. I walked toward the elevator and was about to push the 19 button, but Mallory Keen walked into the elevator with me, so after she did, I pushed the button and the elevator started bringing us to our floor. I was looking down, fiddling with my hands when Mallory broke the silence, "Did you see Magnus and Alex at dinner? They kept looking at you," "Yeah, just wondering what they were walking about," I said, not looking up from my hands. "Yeah, it's odd," she said, looking down, the doors finally opened and we stepped into the hall, her walking to the left and me walking to the right. I walked into my room and stepped into the shower, I couldn't stop thinking about Alex and Magnus, What were they talking about? I thought to myself, I can't let it distract me in the battle, I thought, stepping out of the shower, and putting my clothes on. I heard a knock on the door, and Mallory's voice said, "The battle's about to start," "Alright!" I said, walking out of my bathroom, grabbing my hammers out of the closet and stepping out into the hall, walking toward the elevator with Mallory, I then put my shoulder-length curly magenta hair into a ponytail and stepped into the elevator.
