Zio

The alarm in my phone
woke me up with the song I've been loyal to since a year ago; I've never changed it since then.

I opened my phone, and I woke up exactly at 5:00 am. I realized that today is my first day at a different school, so I quickly got up and took a bath.

"Miles anak, kain ka na"

I heard my mother calling me; she's the only one who calls me by my second name. I prefer being called by my first name kasi, pogi eh.

Eme HAHAHAHA, 'Eyshayorey' yun eh, a lot of people mispronounce my first name, so they call me Azi, Zio, or Zioré.

After I finished eating, I brushed my teeth and changed my clothes. I woke my dad up after; yes, he drives me to school and picks me up from school. My parents never let me try going to school and going home alone.

I'm not familiar with places in my city. I feel like a kid who lost their mom kapag gagala akong mag-isa, yeah, I tried it kasi I told my classmates na uuwi na ako and they left me. My friend looks like a mom kapag gagala kami, I always keep on holding her so I won't get lost; I just let them drag me, and I'll go wherever they'll go.

"Roschville University" I whispered

As I arrive at school, a wave of anxiety washes over me. The bustling hallways greet me with a symphony of laughter and chatter. My heart pounds in my chest as I navigate through throngs of students who seem so effortlessly confident. Desperately avoiding contact, I focus on finding solace in the solitude of my own thoughts.

As I entered the classroom, I was trying to find an empty seat where I could retreat into my own world. The teacher's voice echoes through the room as they address everyone with enthusiasm.

"Excuse me, Ms., are you the transferee?"

My thoughts suddenly got cut off, and I noticed all of them were looking at me.

"Y-yes, ma'am" inangyan, I stuttered

"Kindly introduce yourself to me and to your classmates. I am Ma'am Cruz, your beautiful adviser." Ma'am Cruz said with a warm smile.

I stood up and introduced myself: "Good morning, ma'am Cruz, and classmates. I am Azchioré Miles Luxerven."

"From what school did you come from? How old are you?" Ma'am Cruz asked.

"I am from Velriomes University, I am 15 years old" I answered

"Single ka ba?" A boy shouted and everyone laughed

"Yes, because I am not interested in having romantic relationships." I answered

"You may now have a seat, Ms. Luxerven." Ma'am Cruz said with a smile, it's a good thing she didn't ask me the reason why I transferred.

I listened to my teachers in every subject; it looks like I already learned some of the lessons at Velriomes University.

The bell rang for the lunch break, and the teacher left 3 minutes early. All the students went outside the classroom, and I followed. The air is alive with the symphony of voices echoing off the polished floors, and the foyer is adorned with crystal chandeliers

As I went outside, I noticed that the campus is adorned with meticulously manicured gardens where vibrant flowers bloom in perfect harmony. The path leading to the main entrance is lined with palm trees, their leaves swaying gently in the breeze.

I noticed the architecture of the school building itself is a masterpiece, reflecting timeless beauty and sophistication. The exterior walls are made of gleaming marble, giving the structure a glow under the sunlight.

While enjoying the view outside, I heard a notification on my phone. My friend Kristen texted me.

Kristen is 2 years older than me. Im the oldest child but being with her makes me feel like i have an ate, senior high na siya and she will graduate na.

I'm still in touch with my childhood friends, Kristen, Cheyanne, Ailee, and Hailey. Kristen is the oldest, while Cheyanne is the youngest. Cheyanne is 1 year younger than me; I am the second youngest.

When I arrived at the park, the air was filled with the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers. Birds singing in hidden nests, their songs adding to the symphony of nature.

The park was peaceful and quiet. I enjoyed the silence.

"Ziore!"

A familiar voice called me. I looked at the person, and it was Kristen. Damn nakalimutan ko, I was distracted by the beauty of the park.

"Ang bagal mo naman, what kind of 'on my way' is that when you are standing like a child who got lost" Kristen said

"Come on I'm tall na oh. And I've grown, not just in height." I said, whining like a kid.

"I'm still taller than you though." Kristen said while laughing, she is 5'11 while I'm 5'6.

"Girl wala akong pake, punta tayo sa café near this place, it's 12:20 pm na" I said

"Akala ko ba hindi ka familiar sa mga place dito, takot ka lang sa oras ang bagal mo kasi." Kristen said and laughed after.

"Search engines exist." I answered

We arrived at the café, and as we stepped into the cafe, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and pastries instantly filled the air, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Grabe ang aesthetic naman dito HAHAHA

Pagkatapos naming kumain sa café, hinatid ako ni kristen, baka raw mawala ako.

I went inside the classroom; it's 12:50 pm, and class starts at exactly 1 pm.

I arrived at school at 6:45 am and the first class starts at 7:45 am, I like it when I'm early because only a few people are around.

As the clock struck noon, signaling the end of the last class of the day, the teacher wrapped up the lesson with a final summary of the key takeaways. The students sat at their desks, packing up their bags and belongings and chatting with their classmates as they prepared to leave.

The students slowly filed out of the classroom, saying their goodbyes and exchanging friendly waves with the teacher. The bell rang, signaling the official end of the school day, and the halls quickly filled with the sounds of laughter and chatter as students hurried to their lockers and made their way towards the exits.

As the last of the students made their way out of the building, Ma'am Cruz gathered up her notes and materials, smiling to herself as she reflected on the day's lesson. She felt a sense of satisfaction knowing that her students had learned something valuable, and she looked forward to seeing them all tomorrow.

"Goodbye, ma'am Cruz; see you tomorrow." I said while smiling at her

"Goodbye, Azchioré; please take care and have a good day." Ma'am Cruz said smiling back.

I called my dad to pick me up from school; it's getting dark now.

10 minutes later, my dad arrived, I hopped in the car and went home.

I arrived home, I took a bath, and changed my clothes afterwards. I lay on my bed for minutes; today was a very tiring day.

"Goodluck for tomorrow, bro; you'll probably die or survive" I said to myself

After laying on my bed, I got up, did pushups, and ate my dinner afterwards. I did my routine and went to sleep.
