Being In Those Chapals

Today was the day. The day every warrior awaited (why? Well Arjun has no idea except the fact that maybe all the warriors in the world lack a functioning brain cell! Well.............they have not been discovered ...............but still!) the moment of triumph (social awkwardness) celebration (social anxiety) and maturity (stupidity more like it!).

Not like anyone has asked for his opinion. But hey! Often the wisest of voices are went unheard and pearls of wisdom ignored. Humanity wouldn't need God's if they could just accept the fact that they are stupid!

In his musings upon brainless humanity (a most important one he assures you) he ignores the fact that someone has entered his don't-come-this-close-to-me-or-I-will-kill-you-radius!

And then a hand is upon his shoulders the only sign of acknowledgement the hands owner receives is a minute flinch his great grand nephew exhibits.

"Arjun, how are you, child?"

Translation- why HAVE you not dressed yet?

If roasting existed in this Era his pitamaah would surely do so now. But fortunately it does not!

"Well, pitamaah. I was just coming."

A soft hmm is his answer and with that pitamaah takes his leave as swift as he had been when entering.

Today is the day when Arjun officially is rreleased from his gurudev's guidance and he shall be introduced to the people of Hastinapur who shall judge their princes and their worth.

It was not being released from his gurudev's guidance but rather the consequences of that worried Arjun. Being a student and not one of the foremost in line to the throne Arjun had up until now been spared from the politics of the palace. Once being introduced as a prince........he would have to choose the side. No that he had much of a choice given his status as a son of king Pandu.

Arjun was someone who could be called naive by many, but he still is the Lord of Time and being naive does not mean he is blind to the on goings of the palace.

The feud between Jyesht Bhrata and Bhrata Duryodhan was the best kept secret of the palace and like all best kept secrets it was known by everyone in the kingdom.

The feud that started as childhood envy had turned into adult rivalry of the mortal kind, the flames had been fanned by Kakeshree Shakuni (kakatrash more like it! Who uses their own nephew in a revenge scheme?) and the favour most showered upon the sons of king Pandu.

The Maharaj's self-pity party (that never seemed to end. Like grow up already! Stop cribbing about it) ambitions and poisonous thoughts (courtesy of chef Shakuni served with freshly refreshed wounds of self worth issues and devoid of maturity best eaten at Kurushetra) resulted in what was simple childhood envy turned into a war of rights and Dharma (or will turn into). For heaven forbade humans ever use their brains.

So yes Arjun was looking very very forward to being formerly introduced as a prince (and that's sarcasm but.......you're worse than hopeless if you can't even get that!)

After all, who doesn't want to kill people they hold dear to teach humans a lesson they'll forget more quickly than Krishn's speed of finishing makhan.

Arjun was unlike his friend Krishn, he was not one made for war or bloodshed in general. That was Krishn's job. Arjun saw what had happened what is happening and what is going to happen and decided upon the best scenario and ensure that the perfect circumstances for that scenarios take place.

Krishn was the one who participated in the scenario to achieve the desired result.

Yes, Arjun had to hurt people for that but it wasn't a person for him, the other person was for the lack of a better word a pawn.
