Mabel was worried. The first day after they had returned to Gravity Falls for the summer, Dipper had gone missing. He hadn't come back that night, nor the night after that. There was a search for him in the woods, but Grunkle Ford had pulled her over and said he was worried that it wasn't just as simple as Dipper getting lost. He knew the woods better than that. Worse, high amounts of paranormal energy was concentrating between here and Las Angelas, California, Weirdmaggedon paranormal. Strange storms were sweeping through the western US, and certain parts of the Gravity Falls woods were just, gone. Stand and Ford had been looking for the source, but could find nothing out of sorts. Ford suspected that Dipper going missing was somehow related to these anomalies.
And so the search continued, but even with Ford's devices that had Dipper's DNA, nobody could find the boy... until one girl from LA contacted Mabel, having seen the posters in Piedmont (in case Dipper returned home), saying she had seen the male twin, but he didn't look right...
Dipper had only felt this once before, at a certain sock opera. But this time, it was different, and now, Dipper actually consented to it.
