"Oh God, I'm nervous", Yara says, wringing out her hands, turning to Racer.

Racer gives her a look. "You're nervous? I have to meet them first. By myself." 

"'Cause you're available. I'll get there as fast as I can, I promise."

Racer gets up to join Yara in front of the full-length mirror. She takes in her plump body, covered, but still not hidden, by a cream-white unzipped hoodie falling off her shoulder, white cropped tank top, and grey sweatpants that fit more like joggers than sweats.

"What should I wear?" She asks, still trying to decide what she thinks of herself right now.

"You'll look cute in anything."

Racer rolls her eyes. "That doesn't help me."

"Loose jeans and a fitted top?"

"Loose jeans are never loose on me."

"But they're not as tight as skinny jeans."

"Tell that to my thighs", Racer mutters, going to hunt down her clothing.

After spending twenty minutes switching outfits, Racer ends up in a black tank top, red flannel over, and dark blue jeans. Once dressed, she starts on her hair. Not wanting to do much or put too much effort in for guys who probably won't care about her, she just puts her hair in two dutch braids. After applying moisturizer, she goes straight for her lip balm, trying not to overthink anymore of her appearance.

"You look cute!" Yara exclaims at the sight of her.

Racer gives her the tiniest smile, not feeling complimented but knowing her friend means well. Oblivious to her roommates behavior, Yara smiles and kisses her cheek and waves before walking out of the apartment.

Left to her own devices, Racer belly-flops onto the couch and goes on her phone to triple check the details of their meet-up.
