TW: Arguments, Mention of Divorce, Abuse

"How are you so strong?" My brother said  grunting, attempting to push me off of him.

I didn't awnser, as he pushed me off. I toppled onto my back before swiftly getting up.

"Because I am being trained in fighting after our father. Our names are famous! We are the Touma family, the most famous fighters!" I hollared, as he had pushed me far.

He smiled and ran quickly toward me, I dodged his attack, pushing my right foot against the ground which launched me into the air. He tried to grab my foot, him earning a solid kick in his face. His nose began to bleed as I landed back onto the ground.

"Mama! Hinata and Danuja are fighting again and Danuja got another nose bleed!" My little sister, Etsudo, called to our mother.

Our mother walked out of the house and picked Etsudo up with care. She walked over to us, a stern look on her face before glancing at Danuja's nose bleed. When she got over to us, she sighed.

"Hinata, sweetheart, don't kick your brother in the face. He's had too many nose bleeds and you might end up breaking his nose. Can you promise me not to kick him in the face?"

I bowed, "Yes ma'am. I promise not to kick him in his face."

"Thank you sweety, I'll go get your brother's face cleaned up." She pet my head before walking off with Danuja who was talking with Etsudo.

I slouched down on a tree stump with a deep sigh. A while later, my father walked over and patted my back.

"It's alright, my boy. You've got me." He winked at me before we both quickly went into the proper fighting position.

My father is quite the tall, strong, guy so fighting him helps me.

"Do anything you want." My father said, "No limits until a surrender."

I nodded, running to my father's right side, quickly switching to his left when he moved to try and dodge my move. I slid in between his legs and quickly turned around and tripped him up by grabbing his ankles and making him fall. I tossed myself onto him, putting my arm on his neck, using my free hand to try and restrain his hands while using my feet to keep his legs on the ground. He easily tossed me off, giving me a nod telling me I did good with the pin. He swung at me with his fist and I dodged it. I drew back my fist and slammed it into his stomach. He spat before lifting his hand up in surrender.

"Getting better, Hinata. You'll end up being one of the best." He pet my head with a soft smile, "Let me take a break and I'll come back out here. In the meantime, feel free to do whatever you want. Don't tell your mother I said that."

"I won't, Father." I smiled, waving a goodbye as he left to go inside.

I cracked my knuckles and smiled as I walked into the forest right next to our house. I looked up into the trees as I made my way to a training area my father had made. I soon heard my mother yell, an angry yell. Not this bullshit again..I tried to tune out the yelling, it seeming impossible. Soon, a small figure slammed into the back of my legs. I turned around and saw Etsudo crying. I pulled her into a hug as Danuja appeared a while after Etsudo. Etsudo cried into my shoulder as Danuja sat down beside us.

"It's going to be okay, Etsudo. They'll stop fighting eventually." I tried and reassure my little sister.

"But they'll do it again! And again, and again, and again!" She wailed.

I sighed, "I know..that's why you have me and Danuja, right? We are here for you no matter what situation you may be in."

Etsudo only responded with tears as I wiped some off her cheek. I picked her up and stood up. Danuja stood up as well and he grabbed my hand and held tightly. I could tell he was about to cry. I pulled him closer, putting my free arm around his neck. I was now holding my siblings close as we walked, the yelling getting fainter and fainter as we walked to the ttraining area. We normally slept in trees when they'd argue because the arguments would last almost the whole night. The sun was setting, so we all climbed up a tree. I slept on a branch with Etsudo while Danuja slept in a branch above us. We really had to do this..just because of our damn parents.

IN THE MORNING

I woke up a few minutes before Etsudo and a few minutes after Danuja.

"Do you think they are done arguing?" Danuja asked.

"They better be. I don't think they think about us. Expectually with Etsudo's sensitive ears. I mean, she's only four and they barely pay attention to you unless you get hurt. We are still growing and this isn't the good environment to do so! A twelve year old and a four year old shouldn't live in conditions like that." I responded.

"You shouldn't live in conditions like that either, Hinata. Remember you need to look out for yourself too." He said, climbing down to Etsudo and I.

"I know. You stay here with Etsudo while I go check if they are done." I said, climbing down the tree.

I raced back to the house and slowly walked inside. Mother walked over to me and I looked at her hand. Where is her ring?

"Oh, thank goodness you are back, Hinata! Where's Etsudo and Danuja?" She asked.

"Playing in the woods. What happened to the ring on your finger?"

She went silent.

"I divorced your father." She whispered.

I started to tear up, "I'll tell Etsudo and Danuja."

I walked out of the house and ran back.

"They got divorced." I called up the tree and Danuja climbed down with Etsudo.

I walked them back to the house and we walked to our rooms. I wonder what would happen now.

TWO WEEKS LATER

Mother walked in the house with a guy as I ate some dango with Etsudo while sitting on the stairs.

"Mama, who's he?" Etsudo asked.

"He's my boyfriend!" She smiled.

"What?!" I stood up quickly, finishing my dango, "You just divorced Father two weeks ago and now you're dating someone?!"

Etsudo tugged my shirt, telling me to sit back down.

"You will call him whatever he chooses!" Mother snapped.

"Iori would be fine, after all it's my name. Your boy right there on the stairs looks quite strong, how'd he get like that?" Iori asked.

I glared at my mother, signaling to her not to tell him that my father taught me to fight like the way he does. It's considered a heavily violent fighting style and I feel like he'd call that unhealthy. She nodded lightly.

"Not sure." She said.

"Well, I'd love to meet your children." He smiled.

I got an uneasy feeling from him and I think he picked that up.

"I'll talk to the kids on the stairs first." He said.

"Okay, I'll be in the kitchen. Feel free to look around." Mother said.

Iori walked over to us and told us to walk up the stairs. He smiled and introduced himself.

"As you have heard, I am Iori. What are your names?" He asked.

I didn't respond but Etsudo did.

"I'm Etsudo."

"Well, boy? What's your name?" He sounded to get more stern.

I shut my eyes tightly, hoping this was a dream and hoping this...stranger would leave me the fuck alone. Soon, I felt a hand hit the side of my face. It was Iori.
