"...Are you knitting?" The question, spoken in the early hours of the morning, half startled Spencer as he didn't expect Tsuki to actually be awake yet and he turned to look at her, setting what he was working on on his lap as he regarded her.
She lay there beside him, as she had laid there beside him every morning for the last week. In the aftermath of the incident with Theodore, which ended with him getting booked in Quantico under the charge of hitting Spencer, Tsuki had stayed with Spencer at his apartment entirely on his own suggestion. He did not wish to let her go in the light of everything that had happened and been revealed, wanting instead to spend time just showing her how someone was supposed to treat the person they profess to care about; he had professed his love and thus felt it his obligation to show it. Plus with her bruises he just didn't feel comfortable until he got to see them go away. She had whined, a little, mainly about the store and about her cat: Abby solved both problems. She had apparently gotten a sibling of Tsuki's, someone named Kara, to agree to watch the store and she had brought both the cat and his necessities over to the apartment, handing the giant feline to Spencer with a small grunt. Charlie was at that moment sprawled out at the foot of Spencer's bed, his tail swishing every so often as he seemed to peacefully snooze; Tsuki had been happy to have her pet but worried about inconveniencing Spencer. It had been weird at first but he found himself honestly attached to the gentle giant, finding him both low maintenance in his independence and rather adorable.
The glasses issues too got fixed with Abby's assistance; she had grabbed Tsuki's spare pair while at her place but that morning she had yet to put them on, likely having just woken up, leaving them sitting on the nightstand as she did. Admittedly he wasn't wearing his either; normally he wore contacts but Tsuki had pouted when she saw him in his when he first put on his glasses for her, muttering how adorable they were, and seeing as he did not plan on leaving the apartment for the time being, not while he felt she needed him, he saw no harm in just wearing them. Abby had almost choked at the reasoning when told and had shaken her head, telling them both they were adorable and she needed to leave before they made her sick with their cuteness. Thus his glasses too were on the nightstand on his side, unneeded as he had indeed been knitting in bed.
He furrowed his brow at her and glanced at his work, only partially through the first few colors on what looked to be a scarf. He had woken early and having found her seeming to be still slumbering he had decided that it would not hurt to work on his project; it was a large one and one that would take a lot of time but with his work being the way it was, it was hard to find time to just sit down and work on it. Last thing he wanted was questions and comments about him knitting; he knew for a fact once he got back to work he was gonna have plenty of them. Emily had sent him a text days ago with just the words "You lied to us" and his blood chilled at the thinly veiled threat there. He suspected this was about the time he messed with them while they had been trying to find out Abby's identity, something he would be happy to say was for self preservation but he was still gonna get it from Emily and the others when he came in.
"Is that really so surprising that I can knit?" he asked her.
"Honestly? No, I suppose if anyone would be the type to knit it would be you," she said with a smile and moved to sit up, causing the covers to fall off her.
She seemed to rather like his shirts and was happily wearing another one, the sleeves long enough to cover her hands; he supposed he should be more used to it by now but it was hard to not be just a little flustered still, not used to having a girlfriend wearing his clothes. Tsuki sprawled herself over him, nuzzling his cheek and Spencer smiled before turning to kiss her. She didn't smell like her place as much but there was still tinges of cinnamon; she'd decided, considering he was intent upon having her stay with him for the time being, that the trade off was that he had to let her cook for him. He was half certain if it continued like this he was gonna get chubby but he supposed it wouldn't be a terrible thing as long as he got to eat her creations. And then maybe his mother wouldn't give him a hard time about being so skinny.
